Was expecting a bit more orange in this but was plesently surprised with what they did here. The orange is not overpowering and it makes for one hell of a delicious imp stout. Lots of chocolate in the nose and taste and the orange is there as a perfect accompaniment. Well done pipeworks.
Pitch black colour. Mellow, roasted malty flavour with orange, vanilla, caramelised lemon. Medium to full body, low carbonation. Great, sweet flavour with orange, caramel, chocolate. Acid303 (674) - Barcelona, CATALONIA, - MAY 7, 2016
65cl bottle, served in Duvel glass. Pours black with small beige head. Aroma is dark chocolate, licorice, caramel and hints of red grape. The flavour is not that weird: roasted malts, chocolate, vanilla and a slight touch of orange. Sweet aftertaste, not cloying. Full body, soft carbonation. To be honest...itís a pretty average beer compared to other Imperial Stouts. Johnsense (1624) - - FEB 23, 2016
Dark pour, mocha head. Chocolate, coffee and wood with orange in the background. Lightly boozy, thick body. Sammy (12091) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 23, 2016
very chocolate, with orange finish. Alcohol warming. Good chocolate aroma. Very smooth mouthfeel. 2013 edition. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 31, 2015
Bomber. Poured near black with a short-lived dark brown head. The aroma picked up chocolate and biscuity malts with accents of orange cream.. some vanilla too. The flavor found cocoa, vanilla, and Cadbury Cream Eggs at the core with a little odd sourness around.. muddled, a touch sour, and funky on the weird finish. Medium-plus bodied and very sweet with too much odd contrasting stuff.. seemed a little off.

Bottle thanks to Tooch4321. Pours pretty opaque black, small tan head, some lacing. Aroma is a lot like those orange filled easter candies actually. Lots of cocoa, hints of anise, orange zest. Flavor is medium sweet, light plus bitter, a bit sickly in a difficult to describe way. Hints of ashtray. Medium body. Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - OCT 7, 2015
subpar stout, thin, sharp, flat and with low drinkability, not interesting at all, i think the orange ruined it. Just added a flat thin boozyness. PASS. Torrefacto (1667) - Madrid, SPAIN - SEP 4, 2015
Negro opaco y espuma beis poco persistente.
Bottle from last fall. My first and only of the abduction beers - at least, the first full bottle Iíve ever had. Went into it with fairly low expectations as a friend didnít like it so much but was presently surprised. A nice mellow imperial stout, sweet, chocolate, little hint of orange but very minimal. Wonder if it was more orange-heavy earlier on and I shouldíve drank it earlier. Oh well. nimbleprop (8278) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - MAY 6, 2015
22oz bottle pours a murky black with a ring of off white head. Nose had a lot of orange and molasses, malt, toast. Flavor is better, cakey, chocolte, vanilla, caramel, molasses, orange, brown sugar. Full, sticky finish.
