Great beer, looks like a stout, smells like Abduction with a hint of orange. The taste on this beer is heavy on Abduction, but does more with less on the orange flavor. Barely notice it on the nose, there in the background all the way thru. Very nicely done. This may beat out NvU for my new favorite Pipeworks offering. Was expecting a bit more orange in this but was plesently surprised with what they did here. The orange is not overpowering and it makes for one hell of a delicious imp stout. Lots of chocolate in the nose and taste and the orange is there as a perfect accompaniment. Well done pipeworks. DrowningInBeer (76) - SPAIN - SEP 27, 2014
Completely black beer. Tones of chocolate in the aroma and flavour. Very sweet, with a slightly acid touch due to the orange. crossovert (13908) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 26, 2013
Dense black pour, creamy tan head, Smell is bitter cocoa, ouch of orange. Like a chocolate bar. The flavor is great. A prototypical impy stout with chocolate and roast with a hint of orange in the finish. andyhwcinc (1886) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 2, 2013
Purchased at Bottles & Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at my new place after a horrendous move, first beer here! Appearance is a thick pitch black with a moderate tan head. Aroma is mostly chocolate, espresso, lactose, with a slight touch of orange peel, rather appealing aroma. Taste goes down very smooth and nicely masks the alcohol. Rich chocolate notes, light bitterness from coffee flavor, orange is an apparent flavor and acts as a nice compliment. Really enjoyed this one, even moreso than the Raspberry Truffle version. Great stuff!

Pours thick dark coffee brown black with a cocoa beige head. The aroma is the best part, sweet milk chocolate candy bar, and cocoa powder, so smooth in the nose. The flavor brings some orange and chocolate blended so well with a bit of a bitter chocolate and zesty orange ending blended well on the tongue. This is a delicious orange chocolate bar, like Lindt but less orange. BeerandBlues2 (13813) - Escondido, California, USA - FEB 8, 2014
Bottle. Pours opaque black with a medium, frothy tan head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is roast and chocolate malt, dates, figs, prunes, and licorice with leather, earthy and spicy hops. Flavor is dark malt dominant, dark fruits, bourbon, vanilla, oak, light hops and bitterness, heavy chocolate and a sweet finish. Full body and medium carbonation. jtclockwork (17264) - , New Jersey, USA - FEB 11, 2014
Bottle shared by Alexsdad06. Pours black with brown head. Nose and taste of orange zest, roast chocolate, dark fruit and coffee. Medium bodied. Smooth. One of the top 10 beers I had at RBWG.
