Dark brown/black color; Medium creamy body; Aroma of smoked ham, ginger, clove, & some nutmeg; Flavor of smoked sweet malt, some yeast, caramel, rye, nutmeg, and pepper; Overall, a little too sweet - but not bad. Rasmus40 (22173) - Beder, Aarhus, DENMARK - OCT 15, 2013
Bottle from Ølbutikken, Copenhagen. Almost black with virtually no head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, banana, spicy and a little peated smoke. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish with warming alcohol and a minor spicy burn. Oily. Strange beer. 151013 mar (5457) - Dallas, Texas, USA - OCT 4, 2013

Bottle, 22oz. It’s a dark brown beer, unclear, and topped by a small, light beige head. Quite spiced aroma wtih roasted malts and some chocolate. The flavor has a little spiced and bitter touch, with dark sugar sweetness, caramel, some dried fruits, a little peppery touch and a good dash of chocolate. Full body, soft carbonation. Long roasted, spiced finish with some dried fruits and a little bitterness. A bit messy perhaps this one, but nice anyway. 130028

UPDATED: SEP 26, 2013 Draft at Jerry’s. Black with light, frothy, tan head, little lacing / Bright, sweet, smokey nose of, basically, the items in the description / Medium to full body, sweet but not cloying, well balanced although by no means hoppy, with hot spice bite / Again, the flavors are well set out in the description, with a heavy, hot, baking spice punch / Interesting and well done, although not something I would choose to drink. More like a digestif liqueur. jtclockwork (17654) - , New Jersey, USA - SEP 22, 2013

Bottle at Dean’s stickiest floor tasting. Pours a darker brown beer with a small, off white head on top. Aroma is incredibly herbal. Nutmeg, cinnamon, laurel and allspice are detected, alongside other influences. Bit overkill on the spices. Flavor is very sweet and herbal again. Quite artificial and very unbalanced. Funny experiment though.
