pours apricot with half inch of white foamy head which clears out after the first sip. smell and taste of yeast, dough which leaves a pepper after note that stays on your tongue. Not spicy, but the pepper is prominent. surprisingly refreshing jandd1983 (4317) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - MAY 2, 2013
Sampled at DLD 2013. It poured a hazy pale yellow with a white head. The aroma was of light spice with sweet grain and a hint of light red fruits. The taste was of sweet grains, light spice, peppercorn and light fruits with Belgian yeast and slightly bitter grass. Very good. rxeight (3080) - Illinois, USA - JAN 11, 2014
Batch 151. Aroma is a very zesty lemony farmhouse. Touch or Belgian yeast. Taste starts golden Belgian single and finishes with a lemon and pepper burst. Lots of carbonation. kbudd19 (1019) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - OCT 14, 2014
Bottle from Tom10101. Nice cloudy yellow pour with plenty of white head and lacing. Aroma is citrus, spices, fruity esters and a bit of sticky sweetness. Taste is sweet fruit up front, followed by honey, middle is slightly bitter, medium mouthfeel, semi dry finish with a mild hint if pepper. Not bad, not typical of the style, it’s a bit on the sweet side and I don’t really get any pepper, but it’s for sure interesting.

Bottle - Pours hazy yellow with a thin white head. Nose is white pepper, dry dusty yeast, lemongrass and real dry malt. Taste is the same. Pepper isn’t overly spicy, but it makes it a bit angular. Super dry, with the yeast peeking its head out. Long, spicy, dry finish. Thinnish body with fluffy carbonation. A little too dry for my tastes.

651mL thanks to noodleuser. Pours a full haze light peach. Thick white foam. Big lace. Estery and doughy nose with fresh lemon and mild saison rusticness. French saison yeast? Taste is much too sweet, boozy, white alcohol. A bit of a rough version of Saison DuPont.

22oz bottle, thanks noodleuser. Medium off-white head, hazy light amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, straw, some spicy/yeast, light bread. Taste is medium sweet, bread, some straw, light spicy, pear. Medium body, light acidity. hopscotch (11078) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - FEB 25, 2015
Bottle... Pours cloudy and golden with a frothy, long-lasting, white head. The aroma features fruity esters and spicy phenols, accompanied by spicy and earthy peppercorns. Medium-bodied with stinging carbonation. The flavor delivers peppery warmth and clove-like spiciness layered upon a biscuity, malty backbone. Perfectly balanced. Finishes bready and bitter - bread crust. Bottle shipped to me by BBB63! jackl (8071) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - OCT 25, 2012
Bottle @ THE Sour and Saison Tasting. Thanks to Ken for bringing this ! The pour’s deep golden amber with a tiny head. The nose is peppery hop, floral countryside. Notes of dried grass and wood, light sweet raspberry. The taste is much the same - quite peppery with notes of raspberry and wood. Lightly herbal and grassy. The body’s light, smooth. Overall, I found this to be a strange collection of flavors. Too peppery to be legitimately enjoyable. OK. Dfonorow (2216) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 29, 2014
On tap at Mash Tun Festival 2013. Hazy golden with a white head. Nose is of pepper spice, flowers, pale malts, and earth. Flavor is a bit spicy as well with notes of wood, herbal hops, grass, earth, and peppercorn. A pepper saison? No thanks.
