3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
750ml bottle and served in my PW snifter: Pours a cloudy golden hue with an frothy initial head and spotty lace. The aroma is blood oranges, orange zest, tangerines, mango, herbal and resiny hops, white wheat, pils malt and a bit of clove action. The taste is highly fruity, loaded with citric notes with a light bitterness and wheat husk overtone. If this beer was a tad toned down in both alcohol and husky mouth feel it would be a great summer refresher. That said I am still digging this brew, after North and Western I would say my second favorite PW Saison (tied with Pipeworks Poivre Noir and ahead of the other two Poivre brews). Ya did the orange right in this one guys, keep it up!

2015-08-14. Hazy dark pastel yellow body with a small white head. 3+ Aroma is yeasty, sort of lemony. 7+ Flavour is fairly yeasty, light farmhouse notes and lemon. Average bodied palate, moderate carbonation. Enjoyable, would likely fare better on it’s own rather than in a crowd. Bottle at Campground Brewdown. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - AUG 15, 2015

Bottle... Pours cloudy and yellow with a mid-sized, white head. Good retention. Pink grapefruit, white pepper and yeasty bread mingle nicely in the aroma. Full-bodied with zippy carbonation. The flavor is malty, sweet and peppery with a surprisingly dry, tongue-numbing finish. Bottle courtesy of BBB63! kaser (6364) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 13, 2014

Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate pine, orange peel, herbal notes, and citrus. It pours a cloudy dull yellow with a two finger white head that eventually fades to a minimal film outlined by a thicker ring. The flavor starts with moderate citrus/orange with a touch of yeast. The finish has more citrus, light herbal notes, and a touch of pepper. It’s light bodied with heavy carbonation that can be a bit prickly at times. Overall, if the carbonation was toned down, I’d like it a lot more.
Nice saison. Aroma is quite good with orange and grapefruit and a bit of grassy herbal hop on top of the saison funk. Taste is a slight letdown with an aspirin bitterness on top of bitter citrus peel and a light funky earthy finish. I liked it but had higher hopes after the aroma.
