Aroma is pine, spices and sweet citrus. The flavor is grapefruit, pine needles, malts, mild citrus, spicy hops and a bitter/mild heat/warming alcoholic finish. ChiGuy68 (616) - Illinois, USA - JUL 11, 2017
Tasted from a bomber (thanks to my wife). It poured a reddish brown amber hue with a lasting frothy orange-ish head. A piney malt aroma with caramel and citrus notes. Sweet malt and bitter hops blend nicely on the taste buds in this well balanced brew. S vs. U goes down very easy for a 9.0% imperial. rubbishystuff (2537) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 5, 2017
From the corner store. Prominent hops balance a lot of malt, and the malt mellows the hops, Nice. Serving: Bottle j12601 (13099) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - JUN 8, 2017
On tap at Underground. Pours a hazed crimson tinged amber with a medium sized white head. Soft malt, a bit of citrus, a hint of sweetness. Medium bodied, soft and warm, a bit of warmth, malt, soft bitterness. Slow toast and warming alcohol into the finish. Boozy.

Bottle... Cloudy burnt-orange pour with a brief white head. The aroma is a malty, estery and fruity mélange of caramel, fruitcake and marmalade. Full-bodied and a touch astringent with soft carbonation. The flavor is fruity and sweet accompanied by a modest amount of late-onset bitterness. Finishes bittersweet, warming, tangy, and then dry. Tap into a shaker showing well filtered malt brown with half a finger of clean white foam.
The nose shows a malt forwardness of tea and biscuits.
The palate is light bodied and medium carbonated. Flavors of a light malt forwardness and light zestiness on the finish. Finishes with a somewhat dull IPA bitterness. drjay44 (3831) - Salida, Colorado, USA - JUN 30, 2016
651 ml. bottle. Pours a medium thick, well retained, tiny bubbled, ivory head, with slight lacing, over a slightly hazy copper (SRM 16) body.......nose is heavy American hops, with pine, resin, pineapple, citrus peel, dust, grass, light allium, mild toffee/caramel malts, balance to the hops.....taste is moderately sweet with light toffee/caramel tones from the malts, with heavy pine, resin, hints of citrus peel, light pineapple notes, mild grass, slight allium, becoming mildly to moderately bitter, the sweetness lingers through......mouth feel, medium sticky body, alcohol burn present, fizzy carbonation with light acid. This is a very hop dominated, especially in the aromas, beer. The malts are relatively simple and just barely balance the hops in flavor and additionally the bitterness is quite low. This is another illustration of evolution in the craft industry where pure hop bitterness seems to becoming anathema.
