Pours cloudy amber thick and unclear with a white head. Aroma and flavor bring huge sweet skunky and piney weed notes that longer with a maltiness as opposed to dry bitterness. The hops are still dominant and delicious. tectactoe (3125) - Michigan, USA - AUG 20, 2014
Bottle: Thanks, Jeff. Dense, slightly murky copper & deep amber with a soapy off-white head that fades quickly to a ring. Small lacing. Aroma of some sticky pine needles, hop oil, heavy candied pineapple, citrus rind, grapefruit zest, a little bit of crystal malt sweetness, & a nice dose of dirty dankness near the back-end. Taste has a nice, brash bitter strike of Simcoe hops. Mild perfume, dank pine, hop oil, candied & white pepper covered grapefruit rind, sugar cookie, a touch of crystal malt, & a little bit of sticky dextrose sweetness & resin in the aftertaste. Lightly sticky mouth coating. A heavier DIPA, for sure, but a pretty good one nonetheless. jh773 (301) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 17, 2014
Thick, dark orange. Smell is subdued -- tropical fruits, a little caramel. Taste is bitter with big grapefruit and orange notes. Juicy, good body. Nice. peterschreurs (113) - Illinois, USA - AUG 12, 2014

Bottle:   Citrusy example, but not too bright or sweet.   Also doesn’t seem like much of an IIPA as the 9.5% isn’t noticeable.   Seems like a decent IPA tho.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   A little pith and peel, but also some nice of the orangy citrusy bits.   Comes across as a big citrusy IPA, but not enough malty or heftiness to be an IIPA.   I would say pretty solid IPA, but as a Double IPA, a bit on the weak side. jjgmd (2147) - Coral Springs, Florida, USA - JUN 13, 2014
Bomber shared with Zach and Brandon, pours a dark amber orange color with a very small head. Nose is fresh squeezed grapefruit, deep sweet delicious citrus. Taste is bitter sweet citrus with strong pine and resin, delicious. Finish is bitter sweet as well, with a moderately long citrus resinous finish. Great DIPA ! Light haze on this deep amber beer, small pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and airy. Fine carbonation. Light creamy malt base, very light. Resinous orange and pine hops with lesser tangerine and a little hop spice. Light dry finish. Very light and very tasty. Unlike the Centennial, no toffee malt skewing things.
Love this imperial ipa from pipeworks really strong grapefruit and hopps. Easy to drink and refreshing. Had this one at bad apple.
