Bottle @The Vintage, Leith, with a big thank you to Sean. Pours a hazy golden/orange, with an off-white head which while thin is rock solid and lasts all the way to the bottom of the glass. Tangerine and peach to the fore with an orange marmalade thing going on.Almost floral on the finish a touch of pine as well and a malty hint right at the end, very nice, very drinkable. EDIT - should have said batch 229/231 teddybeer (4041) - Madrid, SPAIN - MAR 2, 2014
Batch 229-231. Pale golden colour with a foamy off-white head with good lacework and long lasting. Aroma is ver fruity with notes of citrus, tangerine, grapefruit and tropical fruits, some caramel and resins hops. Flavor has a decent bitterness with good duration, notes of tropical fruits with good maltiness and some caramel notes. The final has a moderate bitterness that hides the high ABV. Creamy and smooth on palate. Very enjoyable IIPA. rouhlas (3736) - Thessaloniki, GREECE - FEB 22, 2014
Bottle at Hoppy Pub, Thessaloniki. Hazy golden color with white head. Hoppy, fruity and floral aroma and taste. Alcohol is hidden and it tastes more like an IPA than a DIPA. Easy drinkable. Dogbrick (13547) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JAN 19, 2014
Sample from batch #229-231 at Kurtkeller 004: Pipeworks-tastic 01 on 01/18/2014. First of all, great name/theme. The beer is a bright orange color with a thick frothy off-white head that dissipates slowly. Sticky latticework of lacing. Aroma of citrus, hops and malt. Full-bodied with flavors of pithy grapefruit, hops and grainy malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a lingering citrusy hops aftertaste. Above average overall. camborne (656) - Hopkins, Minnesota, USA - DEC 14, 2013
My bottle was not the freshest, 144 I think. Nice hops citrus , especially the sorachi ace. Just enough malts to keep it from tipping over. Cool new brewery.

The pour is an orangeish color with an off-white head that laces well. The aroma kicks off with pineapple, zesty orange peel, and tangerine. A little chemical sneaks in there with some biscuity malt and herbal notes. Forward flavors of tropical fruit, coconut, and orange jam. There’s some alcohol sting as this tends to be a bit more tangy than bitter. But it does dry out some in the finish with a little lingering hop bitterness. A touch of resin on the back end. Sweetened by plenty of malt but it’s not thick in the body or really hard to consume. Good beer but odd. I don’t have a ton of experience with the Sorachi Ace hop but I’m guessing that’s what is giving this an odd twist. It’s somewhat Belgian IPA like. Bottle - Very sweet candy floss aroma. Clear orange with a white rich head. Orange, lemon and resin with a huge sweet malt backbone. The Sorachi gives it an interesting twist. kbudd19 (1019) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 23, 2013
Clear yellow pour, aroma is big hoppy malty, lemon sweet goodness. Taste is a nice sweet citrus kick, mild hop presence and a very clem finish. Really nice IIPA. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - NOV 17, 2013
22oz bottle, thanks to FlandersNed. Shared with local Ratebeerians. Batch 144. Hazy golden orange color. Thin off-white head, good dots of lace. Bigger, chewier, kind of chewier, kind of creamy body. Lighter carbonation. Smooth, good bigger bitter taste, light sweet. Good earthy bigger bitter hop. Solid big imperial IPA, with a good malt profile. phaleslu (10553) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - NOV 15, 2013
22 oz. bottle shared by Danny, Nate, or Chris- I didn’t catch who opened it, but thanks! Pours a hazy yellow-gold with a small cream-colored head. Aroma of peach, tangerine, apricot, sweet dough, pineapple, and lemon. The flavor hits all the same fruits and malts, but with more grass and herbs. Medium-bodied, with modest carbonation and a juicy mouthfeel. The Sorachi Ace hops stand out the most in this one, and it works well.
