22oz bottle shared by Cliff, Thanks. Sorachi Ace.. hmm that is the deal breaker for me, I’m not a fan of that hop and although the cascade is lovely the need for more C hop is definite, I prefered the unicorn over the hoppy. monkeychugg55 (1115) - Joliet, Illinois, USA - JUN 9, 2013
Orange side of copper with a small white head. The aroma is mellow and herbal, with some melon and citrus. The flavor is much more hoppy, with strong Sorachi presence including a light dill flavor that works well with everything else. Nice flavor and the balance is slightly toward the sweet. Not much warming and is more fun to drink than sniff. Pretty good though. jdskinns (220) - South Roxana, Illinois, USA - JUN 9, 2013
Bottle. Pours a hazy orange color with foamy white head. Big citrus, resiny, sticky aroma. Flavor is citrus and hides the alcohol very well. A very good ipa overall. AWISLguy (3429) - Wisconsin, USA - JUN 1, 2013
Bomber from Rayans. Batch 105, so looks to be bottled about 2 months ago, per Pipeworks website. Pours a golden orange with a foamy white head leaving nice lacing. Aroma has resin and citrus, with a bit of pine, some cheese and a oniony herbal presence. Taste is of heavy resin, some fruits, lemon zest, tangy herbs (is that the soriachi?), and a nice malt backbone - sitting well in the back, but present. Medium bodied and slightly sticky. Quite dry. Finishes herbal spicy and bittersweet, with a solid balance between the three parts. Unfortunately too much of (whatever the herbal spice is) for me. An easy drinker and the alcohol presence is not high, but not in love with the flavor. Oly (67) - Crawfordsville, Indiana, USA - MAY 29, 2013
Many thanks to StFun for including this in a trade. Big, lacy head and a hazy orange color. It’s sweet and creamy for a IIPA, but there is a flavor I just can’t place. Others have said peach and mango, and that’s close, but there is something else, too. Overall, it’s a very solid, drinkable IIPA.

Bottle. Pours a lightly cloudy gold with tan head that quickly recedes to a thin covering and some lace. Nose of lime, tropical fruit, white grape, pineapple, citrus, sour cream, gym socks. Very sweet. Too much Sorachi Ace for my taste. jkwood04 (5472) - Connecticut, USA - APR 23, 2013
22oz bottle (Batch 104) in a tulip. Pours cloudy amber with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of strong floral and citrusy and slightly piney hops, plus a decent amount of pale/caramel malts and a little alcohol. Flavor about the same, with a lot of hops and enough malts to blend well and a little alcohol on the finish. Average texture. A good imperial IPA but there’s a little weirdness in the hops and strong alcohol. jnanakul (26) - Tacoma, Washington, USA - APR 19, 2013
Pours gold / slightly orange. The head is nearly white, thin and dissipates quickly. Smells like a Midwest IIPA; slight mango, citrus and floral hops. I also pick up mango in the flavor, as well as peach, grapefruit and spicy hops. Very clean mouth feel; it doesn’t leave a very think coat on the tongue. Mild/medium hop bitterness lingers on the top / front of the tongue. ChiGuy68 (626) - Illinois, USA - APR 4, 2013
Tasted from a 22oz. bomber. Poured a cloudy, golden yellow with a white head. A nice hoppy taste, with a nicely bitter finish. pablo951 (691) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 4, 2013
Poured out of a 22oz bomber, batch #104, to a golden clear hue and a slight creamy head. The aroma is very slight with steady lemon citrus whiff. It has a strong hoppy, piney, bitter taste that does your palate right.
