Pale golden pour with a thin white head and light sticky lacing ..... aroma of passion fruit, citrusy hops mostly grapefruit and orange .... taste is very rindy with grapefruit, orange, passion fruit with lots of fleshy fruit and tropical fruits ... very earthy and has some booze to it .... finish is bitter and rindy with dry hops and lots of lingering grapefruit and passion fruit

Damn, one wiff of this Puffer perked up my nostrils in one hellofa wonderful way. Even though I was clogged up, the big pashionfruit and peach aroma powered through. Loads of hops and tangy fruit on the taste buds. It poured a murky golden orange hue with an offwhite head leaving rings of streaky lacing. A deliciously hopped up fruity Imperial. Thanks Pipeworks. Keep piping out these tasty stoner fish IPAs.

22 oz bottle pours a hazy dark golden color with small tight off-white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma is pungent, full of passion fruit, honey and some earthiness/dank hops. Taste is almost like fruit juice at first, but with a sour taste in the middle and a dry finish. Alcohol is well hidden. Body is medium with average carbonation. This is the only IIPA I can think of with no malt backbone. All the fruit juices, honey, and bodaciousness of it all make this memorable and enjoyable.

Enjoyed at a tasting at Tom’s last night. 22 oz bottle. The pour is a darker golden orange with a dirty fogginess to it with a thick white head that falls down to a thicker cap with a nice soapy lace. The aroma is definitely fruity up front. There is a light hop presence and a good honey on this one. The sweetness of the honey does bring out a nice earthy malt that seems a bit out of place. The citrus and passion fruit work well with the honey, but it’s just not quite there. The flavor is much of the same. The citra is present, but it’s not as big as I would like to see it. The passion fruit does a nice job to balance out the honey and earthy malts while leaving a light bitterness behind. The mouth feel is lighter and clean with a soft carbonation and a lingeringly earthy, bitter fruitiness on the back end. This is pretty good.

Clear golden pour with a single finger white head. Aroma of passion fruit and super juicy. Medium bodied. Big time passion fruit on the taste, almost like drinking fruit juice. Finishes pretty dry. Nicely balanced. A little alcohol heat hangs around on the aftertaste. Lace present.

Pours a golden color with an off-white head. The smell is citrus and tropical fruit, mild honey. Big citrus, tropical fruit, honey ending dry and crisp. Light+ with fine carbonation. Tasty stuff.

22oz bottle acquired from Binnys Naperville (Naperville, IL). Pours a hazy glowing amber orange hue. A bit dulled and darker into the middle with some orange fiery glow onto the edges. Frothy offwhite head atop is impressionable, a full layer sticks around and laces nice enough. Aromas are a bit bitter and hop driven, citrus and florals meet passionfruit, mango, subtle sweetness. Bready malts, a bit of honeycrisp and firm florals that settle in. Initial is medium bodied, a touch of thickness on the moithfeel with earth, bitter florals a touch of honey and tropical fruit sweetness. Mellow warmth, firm florals and bitterness try their best to support. A bitter pithy element comes on into the backend, the sweeter mango and honey element tapers back. Some spiciness, bitter florals and jabs of citrus, the sweeter tropical fruit nectar hits and sweetens for the duration but kinda leads the charge overall. Finish is fruity, a bit tangy with that nectar appeal playing off sufficient if a bit more mellow bitterness. A very pretty pour, pleasant aroma, and enjoyable flavors if a bit lacking on bitterness. The fruity nectar is tangy, the body a bit sweet with a touch of girth. It’s ok. It seems on the right track but falls flat in how it comes all together.

The nose of this beer is unbelievable. You can really smell the passion fruit. Very sweet from the honey but perfectly balanced. You would never know this is at 9.5%. Pours copper with a thin white head. Bomber pour at home. Top 4 for pipeworks to date
