Bottle from Binnys Southloop. Poured amber with tan head. Aroma full if spices chai tea nutmeg. Light carb med bod. Taste very balanced like aroma.
Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a clear orange amber color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy complex spice and fruit aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy spice and fruit flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectation where exceeded. alexsdad06 (10268) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - FEB 17, 2015
22 oz bottle shared with the group. Pours a slightly hazy golden orange color with a small off white head. The aroma has a nice herbal, spicy character, cardamom, some ginger, a hint of fruit. The flavor has nice fruit, berries, some apple, herbal, pale malts, light toasted, interesting mix of stuff. Some herbal bitterness to the finish. 22oz bottle, thanks to alexsdad06 for sharing. I believe the bottle was labeled 9%. Clear orange amber red color. Thin white head. Great apple and ginger in the nose. Taste is a bit sweeter than expected, kind of candy-like, but not sugary-syrupy. Black currant comes through nicely in the flavor. Medium-bigger body, very lightly slick, mild dry in the finish. Lighter carbonation. Moderate sweet taste, kind of tangy, mildly tart, lighter bitterness. Interesting stuff, but not my favorite Pipeworks. Indeed, more of a fruit beer than an imperial pale ale. Love the concept, though... Trying interesting stuff like this is fun. And I love the name, too. jbrana (640) - NASHVILLE, Tennessee, USA - JAN 1, 2015
Enjoyed this beer with chicken tacos, chips, and guacamole which paired quite excellently. Has some tart apple flavors on the front end with strong caramel, ginger, cardamom, cinnamon flavors on the finish. jjgmd (2148) - Coral Springs, Florida, USA - OCT 29, 2014
With Z, pours a cloudy hazy heavy brownish rusty copper pour. Nose is fruity with up front apples, cinnamon and nutmeg. Taste is complex with a combination of fruit and spice, with heavy cardamon and ginger. Finishes on the same fruity and spicy notes, with a dry heavy finish. A different and one of a kind ale from my very favorite microbrewery ! Quaff Score 7 / 10

Bomber. Pours a ruby orange with a nice aroma of apples and fruits. Taste is very drinkable, of apples, fruits, wheat, ginger, and spices into a dry finish. Very tasty and drinkable brew with lots of different flavor BBB63 (6557) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - SEP 19, 2014
Boy who needs "pumpkin" beers when you have the huge spiced fruit wheatwine. Big spicy nose of cardamom, ginger and perhaps some cinnamon supported by the candied apple and dried currant fruitiness. Plenty of brash alcohol in the wheatwine which is A GOOD thing the cleanse the palate of all that spicy malt overtones. This is for sure a divisive beer... Some folks will absolutely hate this. kaser (6220) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 29, 2014
Just a weird beer. Smokey beef jerkey taste. Fruit and campfire taste. So much going on with this it is unexplainable. Can't say I like or don't like it. Nothing like it. Hope this review helps people decide if they want it. Worth trying. You will like or pour out. jtclockwork (16443) - , New Jersey, USA - AUG 18, 2014
