COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Continental is a rich and seductive ale brewed in the Scottish Wee Heavy Style. Hints of vanilla and fenugreek compliment a lucious and complex malt profile. Fermented near lager temperature, subtl spice and rich malt notes make this a perfect ale to enjoy with a loved one next to the fireplace.

Bottle. Pours a reddish brown with medium tan head. Nose is caramel and toffee. Taste is typical scotch ale. Nice.

Bottle... Pours brown with a small, wispy, beige head. The nose presents lavish malts, roasted and candied walnuts and maple sugar. There is also a hint of deep-roast Cuban coffee. Full-bodied with brisk carbonation. The flavor is a rich triangle of singed caramel, roasted walnuts and a whisper of maple syrup. Rich, malty and sweet. Liquid candy. This belongs on a waffle. I like this. Bottle courtesy of BBB63!

Pours a pitch black color with a Java head. Nose is sweet and fruity, with currants and malt. Taste is malty and sweet, with a complex mix of fruits and spices. Finish is sweet and ends warmly on the same tasting notes. quaff score 8 / 10

Bomber. Pours a dark brown with a tan head and aroma of malt, toffee, and nuts. Taste is malty up front, lots of toffee with nutty flavors into the finish along with hints of vanilla and alcohol leading to a sweet, malty finish.

SotallyTober (113) - Channahon, Illinois, USA - OCT 28, 2014
Bomber batch 342-343. Has a dark brown, almost black, pour with a thick mocha head. A chocolate, raisin, and roasted malt aroma. There is a chocolate, mocha, grapefruit, toffee, and roasted nut taste. Medium body, expected it to be a little fuller. Overall, a solid tasteful brew.

Pour is brown with slight red tinting and a small off-white head. Aroma is similar to a christmas fruit cake - plums, raisins, nuts, chewy grain, molasses, vanilla, and spice. Flavor is of semi-sweet fruit, caramel, vanilla extract, and booze. Sticky and sweet finish.

Roasted brown sugar walnuts. Cookie dough, some vanilla. This is a flavorful, full bodied brew and almost reaches dessert topping status.

A: Really dark mahogany, decent head. S: Strong smells of that English toffee and caramel aroma, get some of that nutty aroma from the walnuts as well. T: Really nice English toffee, caramel, nuttiness, and mineral taste. Love English style beers for their nice malty flavor. M: Smooth and sweet with a medium-full body. O: Really enjoy this beer, love how they did the English style.
