Super bourbon aroma! Strongest bourbon scented beer to date. Strong barrel-aged flavor on the tongue straight away. Delicious If you love barrel-aged beers!

Keg at Ratebeer Best Beer Festival. 31/01/2016. An oily viscous black coloured pour with no head. Aroma is vanilly, smooth milky coffee, some toasted cocnut, cherry. Flavour is composed of cherry, vanilla, cinnamon, caramle, smooth bourbon, dark chocolate. Palate is full and sticky, moderate carbonation.

Keg at RB Best, 31/01/16. Black topped with a dirty tan swirl. Nose is chocolate, bourbon, dark fruit rinds, roast malt. Taste comprises rich roast, spice, dates, fruit cake, bourbonic oak, dark chocoalte pralenes. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light warming boost. Decent well balanced impy if perhaps a touch too sweet for me.

22 oz. bottle from notes (also FoBAB 2013). Pours dark brown to black in color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have light roast, bourbon, caramel, vanilla, dark fruits, dark chocolate, wood, some signs of the abv but it works here, solid beer.

Sampled at Fobab Pours an opaque deep dark black with a ring of toffee colored head. Aroma is roasty malts and coffee, booze, and sweetness. Taste is amazing, roasted malts and nice coffee, sweetness from the syrup, vanilla, and booze.

tectactoe (3125) - Michigan, USA - MAY 5, 2015
Bottle: Dark caramel-brown & mahogany color. Basically opaque, small khaki film on top. Very, very, very boozy & very, very, very sweet on the nose. Lots of bourbon, oak, wood, vanilla, caramel crèmes, anise, brandy, toffee, butterscotch. Just smelling it is giving me a cavity. Translates to the flavor - very hot & very sweet. Borderline cloying with heavy dark fruits covered in caramel, anise, toffee, vanilla, & sticky sweet toasted malt sugars. Brown sugar lathered figs with a heavy bourbon & brandy booze aspect that burns the throat near the finish. Hot. This isn’t bad, but it needs some time to settle down. Too hot & sweet at the moment.

UPDATED: MAY 8, 2015 had the newer Buffalo Trace version, which oddly isn’t a new beer here on ratebeer. thanks to the lazy admin for deleting that and moving my rating over here.. .. .
Yes! A dog beer!! .. . Pours a deep mahogany brown .. Medium head, strong lacing .. Cake frosting, dark syrup, and mild bourbon .. Mouth is good, finish is even better .. A warning calm barrel aged beer. A solid offering .. . . Dogs stink because they enjoy the company of turds
