Bottle courtesy of reorulzzz8. Cheers! Pours amber-orange with an off-white head. Nose is some caramel, oak, vanilla, bourbon. Flavor is similar- lightly carbonated with caramel, oak, vanilla, and big bourbon presence. Light to medium in body and a smooth-sailing sipper.

Bottle... This beer rocks!… Pours clear and brown with copper highlights and a short-lived, off-white head. The aroma features bigtime bourbon with a trace of caramel. Full-bodied with a silky mouthfeel and tickling carbonation. The flavor features sweet caramel and bourbon accompanied by smooth, polished hops, and flanked by a malty, soul-warming finish. This is an example of the perfect use of a bourbon barrel. Kudos to BBB63 for supplying this world-class bottle of beer!

December 21, 2015 - bottle from Binnys. Brown pour with some head. Nice aroma and taste of a BA barleywine. Batch 107, think 2013 bottle. Third place in the barley wine battle royale.

Enjoyed at an all barley wine tasting at Travis’s house on February 21. pour from the 22 oz bottle is a deep brown with ruby or garnet hints shining through and a small medium tan head with no lace. The nose has a lot of dried fruit with a great chocolate and caramel malt balance with some light vanilla and oak barrel notes. The flavor mimics this nicely and carries a nice hint of coconut. The mouth feel is decently thick, but light, with a lighter carbonation and a lingeringly malty aftertaste

Bottle shared during the RBWG 2015 Grand Tasting. Pours cloudy amber with a tan cream head. Boozy, with lots of ripe fruits, sugary bread, berried. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Sugary on the finish with notes of brown bread, more ripe fruits, alcohol, old wood. Not bad.

had the original so happy to see this .. bottle as shown . . dark plum .. low foam .. . quite boozy- bourbon wood, brown sugar, cooking chocolate, and stewed figs .. . pretty good .. . . maybe some socks are single because, you know, it just didn’t work out.
