This is an excellent porter. After I finished it I found out Pipkin was sold and the bottle I drank was made in early 2000, which is disappointing.

Kick ass porter. Deep brownish red color, great roasted aroma. Tastes include roasted malts, mocha and coffee, and a bit of something like tobacco (?!) One of the better porters Iíve had in a while.

Bottled, thanks hopsrus!!
Black as tar. Asphalt aroma, the way it smells when the first drops of rain falls on hot, dusty asphalt. Very dry, yet velvetty smooth. Lighlty roasty and with notes of salty licorice in the finish. Balanced bitterness.
