Big ass bottle shared at RBSG. The mead is a thick red. Still. The aroma has berry and chocolate notes. Big boozy notes with lots of major sweetness. Jammy and delicious. Thick mouthfeel.

RBSG. Pours a bright red purple color. A huge sugary berry nose. Massive sweet honey, fresh sugary essence of berries, vanilla, a slick wonderful palate. Lovely mead. Very drinkable. Even the appearance is amazing.

Sampled at the RBSG 2017 Grand Tasting. Bottle thanks to Pips. In my tasting glass a really rich ruby red color. with no foam. The nose here was chocolate, raspberry, and vanilla. Full body. Slick mouthfeel Flavor is intense. There is some much here you forget you are drinking something with alcohol in it. Dangerous stuff. This was wonderful.

RBSG 17 grand tasting, magnum courtesy of Pips.Nice reddish violet color with small bubbly head. Big jelly jar aromas, honey, and hints of the cacao. Taste blends it all together like a big chocolate covered raspberry confection. Truly wonderful stuff.

Bottle at RBSG Boise. Deep ruby red color. I instantly associated this with chocolate covered cherries, before long it becomes apparent its raspberries. Very sweet and desert like. Tastes like a desert of sweet milk chocolate and dark chocolate? more raspberries. Just a little tart, but mostly sweet. This is one of the best desert beverages I can recall to date.

Pouring at the RBSG17 Grand Tasting. Pours a clear garnet. Cocoa, berries on the nose, sweetness. Medium bodied, big and juicy, loads of juice here into some huge honey sweetness. Long sweet tones, honey and sweet fruit. Long juice lingers on the finish. Rather solid. Great in small pours, might be a bit tough for larger pours.

UPDATED: JUL 30, 2017 Magnum at RBSG Grand Tasting. Pours a dark purple with no head. The aroma is strong chocolate covered cherry and vanilla bean. Medium body, jammy, vanilla, cocoa, insanely sweet, enjoyed this.

Bottle - Raspberry and nutty notes with a touch of cocoa. Deep red. Chocolate and raspberry with a light acidity and rich finish. Odd combo.

UPDATED: JUL 29, 2017 Appearance of a beautiful deep burgandy/red color. Nose of berries, sweetness, and honey. Taste is very fruit-forward and sweet. This is a very good mead. I've been told it was to compete with Superstition Berry White, but I think it falls just short. Not to take away anything from this mead because it is very good! If you get a chance, seek it out. Thanks for doing this for the RBSG crew!!
