330ml bottle served in a Duvel glass. Golden amber beer with a thick white head and nice lacing. Looks great. Aroma is fruity, floral, and alcoholic. Flavor is fruity and slightly sweet malt, with a fairly good hop presence, and a good alcohol kick. I love alcoholic triples and this one is close enough. Just one of these is a great attitude adjustment. Not awesome but not too far off the mark. Single purchased at Total Wine & More, Jacksonville FL.

"Poured a light amber color with okay head not much lacing. Aroma was of alcohol and floral. Flavor was much the same little sweet for my liking. Okay beer better then average." zebracakes (1339) - Washington DC, USA - JUN 14, 2006
On tap at the Sharp Edge, PGH, PA. Golden yellow color, dense white head. Aroma is raisins, alcohol, and malt. Sweet malt flavor with raisins and alcohol warmth. (This doesn’t seem to be too hoppy yet was written up in the menu as a triple IPA. It’s either an error in the menu or a misnomer) Nothing too complex here. onystrom (1333) - Magellan Hunter! - Skanderborg, DENMARK - JUN 8, 2006

UPDATED: AUG 16, 2006 Nice appearance. A dark cloudy honey like color with off-white head. Yeasty, citrusy and spicey scent. Nicely balanced with a grapefruit like acidic body and a smooth long plesantly dry finish with hints of coriander hoppyness and a honey background. Nice palate feel and the alcohol is very well hidden. Choos (754) - Taylors Hill, AUSTRALIA - JUN 5, 2006
Aroma: sweet candy, apricot and some spirit. Appearance: orange/amber and lightly hazy with a smallish head that leaves good sheet lacing. Flavour: intially spiritous with loads of malt that is balanced by lots of hop bitterness. Palate: nicely thick and lightly carbonated. Dorqui (2258) - Brescia, ITALY - JUN 5, 2006
Much creamy and bulky head, optimal persistence. Orange overcast color, much dense, hazy and fraught with a good fizz. Sweet and strongly alcoholic scent with determined clear mildew notes, leaven and alcohol. Prickly and full bodied taste, warm with sweet malty, wine cellar and clear fruits notes. Much alcoholic and sweetish long-lasting final. 00cobraR (1103) - Greensboro, North Carolina, USA - JUN 3, 2006
I think is brew is slightly under rated. It pours a nice amber color with a huge white head. Flavor is sweet, malty, and a bit bitter. Aroma is sweet, yeasty and slightly hoppy. i was suprised that i wasnt overwhelmed by the alcohol. This is a great brew. One I will have again. buckybeer (666) - Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 2, 2006
Another nice Belgian brew. I love it when I find beer over the 10% alc content. This sort of catches you off guard because it is a golden color and also very strong. A very good beer.
