From tap at Ølbaren. Pours clear and golden yellow with a diminished white head. Herbal and spiced aroma. Viscous mouthfeel. Flavour is spiced, smooth fruity and mild yeast flavour. Lingering fruity and mild yeasty finish. Light warming alcohol finish.

oh6gdx (26487) - Vasa, FINLAND - DEC 20, 2006
Bottled. Hazy yellow colour with lots of "yeastclouds", big fluffy white head. Hoppy, metallic and very alcoholic aroma. The alcohol stings out almost like vodka aroma. Flavour is yeasty, fruity, glueish and alcoholic. Biting carbonation. Not too pleasant as whole.

Travlr (25528) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - DEC 23, 2012
Bottle. Clear light amber color, medium white head. Aroma of light citrus, white pepper. Taste is rising sourdough bread.

Bottled at Internationella Pressklubben, Stockholm. Cloudy golden, airy head. Medium bodied. Bready with some black currant, ripe fruits, pineaple and alcohol. Fairly straightforwarded, rounded mouthfeel. Low bitterness.

Papsoe (25060) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUL 29, 2005
(Bottle 33 cl) A younger sibling to the older, stronger and classical Piraat. Golden pilsener colour with a slight cloudiness, fizzy head from a high carbonation. Nice, fruity nose. Some initial sweetness balanced well by the hops. Pronounced alcohol glow although never unpleasantly alcoholic. Not sophisticated but a very decent brew indeed. 250601

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein orangegoldenes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig süß, fruchtig, würzig. Geschmack malzig, hefig, fruchtig, reife Früchte, Karamell.

mcberko (18422) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 18, 2009
330mL bottle - pours golden with almost no head. Aroma is hoppy and quite sugary. Flavour is orange, citrusy and a bit sweet. Alcohol content is very noticeable. Carbonation is quite high. Not one of the best Belgians as it lacks any real identity, but still refreshing.

chrisv10 (17926) - DENMARK - JUN 17, 2012
Bottle. Clear deep golden with medium white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, yeast, little hop with notes of alcohol. Flavour is malt, fruit, medium sweet, yeast, little hop, spices and notes of alcohol.

yngwie (17102) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - FEB 8, 2011
Bottle at Cardinal. It pours an almost clear body. Some yeasty clouds in the orange-golden body. A small, off-white head sits on top. Slightly oxididized and buttery on the otherwisw fruity and sugary sweet nose. The flavor is sweet, fruity and a bit buttery, some alcohol too. Full body, lots of carbonation and some alcohol warmth. Fruity, buttery finish. Not bad, but both a bit after BB-date and far from the level of Duvel. Didn’t deduct points caused by the date. 101113
