From a package of the Lidl. Amber, minimal head., flat beer. Aroma is sweet, some fizzling in the mouth, with minimal citrus, some artificial aroma even. Sweetish taste, alcoholic, medium body, reasonable finish. Not so good at all.

Well well well. Someone has Belgian evening tonight. Yeasty aroma, classic belgian ale. Taste is not as intense as expected for this voltage. Actually the body is rather empty, okay maybe closer to medium, but still not storytelling. Drinkable, but far from great.

Botella. Nice golden colour, deep, small but steady-ish white head, ok lacing. Sweet bit fruity hoppy aroma with some alcohol, some malt. Flavour is sweet with fruity bit hops, malt, and alcohol.

bought my bottle at local lidl store. thick foam appears while pooring, nice orangy, light brown clear colour. aroma is fresh and fruity, lightly metallic. you don't expect this to be that strong. initially it tastes a bit sweet and spicy, but not as sweet as the original piraat (wich is also nice, but a bit oversweet to my taste). and then comes the fruity bitterness of the hops: so well balanced! some people at ratebeer rated is as a try to make a belgian ipa, but this beer isn't. its a strong belgian ale with an added bitternes (like duvel triple hop;) not ipa at all, but a regularly affordable, strong and very tasty masterpiece!

Boca 0,33L - s obzirom na količinu dobro je da se i ovoliko malo osjeti hmelj...dosta slatkasto pivo, osjeti se malo hmelja

Bottle. clear golden, but with a head that didn't last. Dry and hoppy, but not overdone as it was well balanced by the malt. Very smooth and classy but not as hoppy as I was expecting.

I found this bottle at the Grain d'Orges in Crissier. I have tried this beer tonight, Mercure hotel, Paris Gare de Lyon. Best before 07/2017. In my point of view, I was not impressed by this beer, expecting something a bit better. The color is brown/orange and troubled, thin and white foam, normal carbonation. The first thing with this beer is that you really feel the degree of alcool, not well hidden, heavy for the palate, metalic, sugar, malt. The sensation of hop is heavy, not really fruity and not so well balanced, a sensation of something burnt. For me, it is the kind of beer to finish at the hospital like a teenager that he tried for the first time a beer.

Czuć ananasa w aromacie i posmaku.

Niezłe piwo, przyjemne do wypicia.

Copenhagen 15/9 2017. 33 cl bottle from "Den Gamle Købmand". Ship wit a lot of sails sporting Jolly Rogers on the label. Pours hazy golden yellow with white head. Settles as patchy thin layer of white foam. Lacing on the side of the glass. Aroma is prominently of citrus, sweet lemonade, basement odor. It actually does not advertise the fairly high ABV. Light carbonation and medium thick palate. Flavor is quite sweet and sugary followed by strong bitterness. Aftertaste is earthy and bitter. Kind of strange combination of properties - but at least it's interesting.
