@RBWG-JAX Grand Tasting shared by the turd, thanks. Tan-black. A-smoke/peat-dk malt. T-smoke/peat-dk malt, earthy. bubbleflubber (2211) - Swannanoa, North Carolina, USA - MAY 27, 2013
On draught at the brewer. It pours a deep cola essence with mahogany fringes, providing a nice tan head that leaves ring lacing. The nose is of a rauchbier, with smoked meats, peat and campfire essence. Flavors are of a sweet stout, with maple and chocolate, balanced with a lightly bitter chocolate and roasted coffee bean. Like its bacon stout predecessor, it’s not quite as forward as your traditional rauchbier. However, it does hit the "smoky" and "camp-like" essence nicely. Clean finish that doesn’t concentrate on an "ashy" effervescence, but lingering appropriately. The mouthfeel is semi-creamy. Similar to the brewer’s prior inaugural bacon offering, it comforts well and provides a nice smoked stout experience. reggiedunlop (3718) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 29, 2013
Pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma has lots of smoke...campfire. flavor has roasty dark chocolate, bacony smoke, and woody notes. Mouthfeel is medium and creamy with a roasty/lightly smoked finish. drowland (8629) - Georgia, USA - APR 22, 2013
Growler at RBWG 2013. Thanks, Turd! Black pour with a small tan head. Rich smoked malt aroma, salty and meaty, with touches of coffee roast. Salty flavor, quite smoked, does remind of bacon, even with touches of sweetness like bbq. Interesting, not bad!

From a growler. Pours a very dark brown with a slight off-white head. Nose is quite smokey and with a bit of a bacon coming through. Taste is the same with a bit of salt coming through at the back end. Very much like bacon. Me gusta mucho. SudsMcDuff (8389) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - MAR 6, 2013

Growler thanks to turdferguson at RBWG! Pours a dark brownish black with thin tan head and light lacing. Aroma smokey meat, roasted malt, dark chocolate, and bacon. Taste was just what you expect, bacon in a stout. Very well balanced and one of the best smokey beers I have ever had. TURDFERGUSON (4058) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - FEB 28, 2013
Growler picked up from Beer Study, shared at RBWG. Pours black with a small tan head. Nose is roasty, toasty, lots of meaty smoke, light black patent malt, bittersweet cocoa. Flavor is a little more potent and smokey, ham hock, not much ash thankfully. Pretty darn good. GT (10000) - San Diego, California, USA - FEB 28, 2013
Growler at RBWG thanks to TURDFERGUSON. Hilarious name. Deep ruby cola pour. Thick yellowish head. Extreme Bamberg smoked malt nose, massive bacon. Oh yeah. Taste is smokey barbecue, sugar, maple, salt, mild pepper. Palate is buoyant, loads of saltwater. A bit too much saltwater for me.
