Bottle shared at a tasting. Thank you. Pours a rich golden caramel color with a lasting biege head. Smell on this barley wine is oranges and caramel with a light alcohol component. Taste is orange like hops and a bit of booziness to it. Medium bodied. A bit too mild flavorwise, actually. Wanted it to pop a bit more. Good, but not great. craftbeerdesign (2254) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - DEC 7, 2008
sample on Nov 6, 2008. pours a deep red with a small white head. aromas of fresh piney hops... medium to full smooth body with a nice bitter presence. this one was fresh and the hops really shined. a great american english barley wine mixture. Ibrew2or3 (8660) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - NOV 16, 2008
Courtesy of tpd975. Thanks again, you rock!!!! Pours clear deep copper with tall rocky tan head. The mild aroma has deep sweet maltiness, some dark fruity esters and a muted pine hop note. Overall a mild aroma for the style. The taste is malt and pine hops before sweet sweet caramel malts and very dark fruity esters rise up and take over the flavor. The taste is pretty bold but lacks the full dark fruity esters and caramel depth of an English styled barleywine and lacks the hops to be an American or west coast version. So it is in the middle and tasting pretty darn nice. sebletitje (10089) - Enghien, BELGIUM - OCT 22, 2008
Aroma, fruity (remidned me of kiwi).hops and caramel malts.
Taste, caramel malts, grains, some roastiness, light chocolate malts.
Fruity taste is closer to some sweet dark fruits. afterglow (1047) - Florida, USA - OCT 22, 2008
Bottle courtesy of tpd975. Pours amber with a large light tan head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel, dark fruit, and floral hops. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a moderate amount of bitterness and smooth alcohol. Very good.

Bottle back from Bruisin’ Ales. Murky reddish brown color with a decent fizzy tan head that lasts for a while. Smooth, malty bw that is not hopped up but still tasty. Raisin and molasses aromas with a bit of caramel and floral hops in there to balance. Well carbonated, medium bodied beer. Finish is a little bitter and alcoholic. Before that though you get some plum and raisin flavors. Would expect a little more body and malt backing from a bw but this one is pretty good and relatively easy to drink. glkaiser (1214) - Seattle, Washington, USA - SEP 20, 2008
thanks to bitbucket tasting. Hazy brown w/ medium head. Lightly sweet caramel malts and more citrus hops than expected. Very solid. Hophead22 (2879) - Redlands, by way of Wisconsin,, California, USA - SEP 18, 2008
750ml bottle from trade with TURDFERGUSON. Poured a murky dark brown, with a tan head. Big rich maltiness, very aromatic. Slight harshness in the front, very bubbly. Nice overall, glad to get my hands on a bottle. SuzyGreenberg (1603) - Seattle, Washington, USA - SEP 15, 2008
750 ml bottle @ liquid sunshine tasting - thanks to riversideak; clear, light amber with big tan head; no carbonation in body though; aromas of mainly sugar and alcohol; lots of texture and a earthy feel to it; dry and sweet finish DietPepsican (1592) - @ $13.99, Iowa, USA - AUG 26, 2008
