Draft at the brewery. It has a slightly cloudy orange appearance with a thin layer of white head. Hugely hoppy aroma with note of grapefruite. Big flavor of hops, tasty. magsinva (1250) - Virginia, USA - JUL 31, 2013
Bottle from App Vintner - pours clear dark red with a nice tan head. Aroma is very cream brûlée. Nice! Barrios (1243) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - JUN 7, 2009
Pours an off-white lacing head with a copper-amber body. Smells of brown sugar and alcohol. Flavor is brown sugar and mellow spice hops. Finish is nice and bitter. glkaiser (1214) - Seattle, Washington, USA - SEP 20, 2008
thanks to bitbucket tasting. Hazy brown w/ medium head. Lightly sweet caramel malts and more citrus hops than expected. Very solid. DrBayern (1139) - Morehead City, North Carolina, USA - MAR 6, 2009
22 oz. bottle. Deep reddish amber with a large off white head. Caramel and fruit aromas predominate, with a backdrop of hoppiness. Smooth, medium body and carbonation, a bit sticky. Tends toward sweetness with plenty of malt flavors, but sufficient hop balance to round out the finish. Pretty decent, a solid offering from this Western NC brewer.

UPDATED: APR 7, 2009 Thanks to JCB for the 750ml bottle. Probably about 8 months old. Clear orange/copper with a large head. Aroma of caramel, brown sugar and toffee; maybe a little floral hops and dark fruit, but the star of this show is all the sugar. Fairly sweet, alcohol is well covered. Medium mouthfeel. I probably should have cracked this sooner to get the full hops effect. MmmcKay (1052) - Brentwood, Tennessee, USA - JUN 7, 2009
Tasting at Butters 6th cellar reduction. Brown sugar and alcohol. 2nd Barrios notes. Wish the spice notes came through a bit more. Little too much sugar here. Still smooth and easy to drink. Pretty tasty. afterglow (1047) - Florida, USA - OCT 22, 2008
Bottle courtesy of tpd975. Pours amber with a large light tan head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel, dark fruit, and floral hops. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a moderate amount of bitterness and smooth alcohol. Very good. Ty5592 (1018) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 31, 2008
750 bottle caged and corked. Pours and medium dirty brown color with fast leaving white head as it warms. To be honest, this is not a good looking brew, lots of suspended yeast floaties. Aroma of ripe fruit, malt, light brown sugar, and mango. The taste was the same with fizzy lively carbonation. Good sweetness in the finish. Decent light and easy drinking BW. Different but good. Glad I have more to lay down. punkrkr27 (903) - Berkley, Michigan, USA - SEP 18, 2009
Bottle dated April ’08. Opaque ruby pour with a dense white head and good lace. Rich dark fruit aroma with molasses, sharp pine and wet oak. The flavor follows through from the aroma with a sweet honey finish. Sticky, medium-full body with soft carbonation.
