Draft at Pack’s Tavern. Pours burnt umber with a half inch of khaki foam. Nice pumpkin and spice notes on the tongue. Definitely pumpkin on the tongue which is nice. I agree with the guy who’s said it tasted like apple jacks. Finishes clean. Another well crafted offering from Pisgah. magsinva (1413) - Virginia, USA - DEC 19, 2012
Tap at Packs tavern - pours a clear burnt orange with a white head, some lacing. Aroma is (finally) a balanced pumpkin pie, with pumpkin, allspice, cinnamon, brown sugar, and a malty crust. Taste is sweet and it finishes a touch dry. The biggest thing about this one is it actual incorporates the flavored you would except in a pumpkin ale in a balanced manner. Yum! On tap at Mellow Mushroom in Asheville. Absolute Apple Jacks with nice cinnamon character and background spice. Very nice sweetness without being over the top. bubbleflubber (2231) - Swannanoa, North Carolina, USA - OCT 5, 2012
On tap at the brewery, it pours a copper-orange into the glass, with a nice frothy eggshell cap that reduces to spiderweb lacing. The nose is of light pumpkin (processed) and malt. Flavors of pumpkin meat, honeydew and melon. The finish is dry, with pie spice concentration on nutmeg and All-Spice. The body is medium and provides a smooth mouthfeel and easy quaff. Nice fall offering here.
