Thanks to buffalohead for sharing this relatively fresh East Coast imperial IPA. Packing a big punch it tastes like something that is perfect for the recent cold snap. I look forward to a chance to try a few more things at the source whenever I finally make the trip to the Carolinas.
Aroma / Appearance - Caramel brown in color the base shimmers and bubbles. Active carbonation erodes the eggshell head. Warm mandarin oranges, peaches, mango, and fresh tropical fruit infuse the air with the smell of summer.
Flavor / Palate - Peaches, mango, and a big serving of fresh fruit adhere to every corner of the palate. Fresh sliced oranges carry towards a pleasing finish. The bitterness might be short lived which is the only flaw in an otherwise excellent beer. I’d love to try it once again on draft to get a feel for what it is like at the source.
Poured a hazy copper color with an off-white head. Sweaty citrus hop aroma with a sweet malt base. Sweet malt flavor. The finish is long and moderately bitter. Medium bodied. markwise (5450) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - JUN 3, 2009
Thanks fishingnet for the share. Pours a brown-yellow with a foamy off-white head. Nose is floral hops, pine, citrus, and some spice. Flavor was caramel, all manner of hops, but lacks some of the depth that I would expect from a beer that I have heard so much hype about. Hmmm... Overall not bad. Courtesy of fishingnet. Pours with a gold hazy matte copper look and floating a modest off white head. The aroma is mild and a bit musty with hints of sweetness and chewy muted sweet citrus. The taste is nice and citrusy and backed up by full smooth malt sweetness. It gets pretty grapefruit hop bitter by midway with support notes of pine, grassiness and a dash of spice. It ends dry and a bit rougher than it started. BuckeyeBoy (9218) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JUN 22, 2009
Bottle Pours out a orangeish brown topped off with a tall sand head. Aroma was nice a lots of citrus hops and some caramel. Tast of more citrus hops grapefruit peel and some caramel sweetness. Lots of bitterness on this one.

Brought a bottle home from Bruisin’. Solid DIPA, very bitter, slow drinking. But not what I would consider a top-tier DIPA. Sonicdescent (388) - Donora, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 11, 2009
Had this one at the RB Pittsburgh tasting. Honey and hops in the scent. For some reason I wrote "glossy" as the description for the appearance. Clearly the lineup was taking it’s toll on me at this point. Taste is good, reminds me of a super hopslam. Mouth is medium in carb and body. yobdoog (1888) - Kingston, New York, USA - AUG 31, 2009
Dark orange with a small head. Aroma is more sweet than hoppy. Flavor is juicy but still on the sweet side. Pretty good for me but I wanted more hops. A little citrus and earth. oh6gdx (26485) - Vasa, FINLAND - DEC 6, 2010

Amber colour, beige head. Aroma is caramel, hops, some grains, mild berryish and floral notes. Flavour is quite much the same, but also has some resin and honey along to it. Also alcohol shows quite well. A quite brutal IIPA.
there is a lot of flavor in this beer, it has a great assortment of taste including, fruity, herbal and bitter. This the beer that you want to have at the end of your day.
