Draft at the brewery taproom during RBWG 2014. Pours clear, rich orange-gold with a foamy, mostly white head. A fairly dank and resinous DIPA, with ample ripe and chewy citrus fruits, orange, some bready sugars. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Resinous and warming in the finish, with more juicy, chewy citrus fruits. Not bad overall. chinchill (5072) - South Carolina, USA - JAN 4, 2016
22 oz bottle served in a lager glass well past the normal BB date.
The clear body looks like honey, and there are suggestions of honey in both the aroma and the flavor. The aroma, however, is dominantly and strongly floral. The flavor has some citrus and herbal notes from the hops in addition to the floral ones. A relatively low bitterness (moderate) makes this a very drinkable DIPA, at least when aged some. The high ABV is partially hidden. jandd1983 (4382) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - AUG 23, 2014
It poured a hazy amber color with an off-white head. The aroma was of caramel, orange, some tropical fruit and grass. It had a medium body with a sugary mouth feel. The taste was fairly balanced with caramel malt sweetness and some bitter citrus hops. Very nice. jackl (8211) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUN 26, 2014
Keg @ Pisgah during RBWG, Asheville. Amber pour with a small head. Toasted coconut ,honey and jasmine. Some cantaloupe. Peach and nectarine fruit flavor. Cereal grains. Crisp. Light body, soft carbonation. Serviceable, uninteresting. GTAEgeek (2257) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - MAY 19, 2014
In a flight on tap at the taproom. Pours clear gold, with a small, off-white head. The aroma is very resinous and herbal, with notes of straw, wet grass, and some light peat. Very bitter up front, with a fairly good balancing malt profile, leaving it mouth-puckering, yet drinkable. Medium to heavy body, astringent and dry, with a clean, crisp finish. I usually look for lots of aromatics in an IPA, specifically citrus and floral, but the aroma here is strong, but unpleasant. From the description, this aroma seems to be what they were shooting for, but it don’t really appeal to me.

The aroma and flavor have orange citrus, pine resin, some sweet caramel malts, sticky at times, hints of spicy hops. >> Pours clear, deep orange with weak foam. Nose is toasted coconut. Taste is sticky orange, squash, sugar, cantaloupe. Wasn’t sure if this was a DIPA or blonde barleywine. Pretty good.
