(2111-260217)

Pours dark brown with a small white wisp. Aroma is rich molasses and caramel. Taste is big alcohol burn, caramel slightly roasted malts. A touch of brett sweetness but it’s not that prevalent.

A dark brown ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with light Brett, light molasses, treacle, alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity caramel malt with light cinnamon, treacle, light butterscotch, light Brett, very nice and complex, alcohol warmth, a nice surprise. On tap at pit caribou Montreal.

Where and how: mini tasting, bottle 750 ml
Aroma: soft, some cocoa, alcohol, chocolate and licorice.
Appearance :
Top: medium white top .
Base: light brown with hint of amber
s Palate : quiet thin especially for 11 plus alcohol numbers.
Taste: sweet syrupy chocolate, alcohol to balance followed by more sugars (brown this time), late heat with (you guessed!) sweet chocolate.

Bouteille.

Bottle shared with the Larosée Bro A: cherries, fruity brett, red fruits, some leather, a bit of alcohol. App: reddish brown smallish white head. T/p: med body with moderate long acidic finish. Moderate high carb. O: Surprise how upfront the brett is. Enjoyed it but glad I shared it a bottle alone would have been too much.

750ml bottle shared with brother and Jo. Aroma: intense brett giving lots of cherries, leather, subtle nuts. App: dark burgundy, minimal off white head, no lacing. Taste and palate: medium body, light to moderate sweetness, fruity, winey, soft carbonation, light moderate acidity finish. Overall: interesting. The brett is much more present than expected. It’s well blended though, just didn’t expect it. Well done and easy to drink. Good.
