On tap at festibiere 2018. Funky tart nose. Lots of cherries and chocolate. Taste quite tart medium sweet. Medium body light carbonation.

UPDATED: FEB 4, 2018 On tap at festibiere. Black Forest cake nose with some funky/Woody notes. Taste is lots off cherries and chocolate malt with some really nice tart elements and some barrel/wild yeast funk. Really smooth, really complex. Nice twist on their Tennessee Porter. Great stuff

Tasting at SF’s
Dark brown color. Aroma of cherry chocolate. Mild sourness, that blends well with the cherry character, the mild chocolate, and light residual sweetness.
Balanced and harmonious beer, really good.

750ml bottle @ the office. Pours an opaque brown colour with a thin beige head. Nose is cherry cake, it’s smell delicious. It almost reminds me of a legit black forest cake. Flavour is has a similar character but much less sweet, otherwise everything is there with an addition of some sourness from the cherry. Delicious and tasty.

750mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown with a large tan head. Aroma brings out decadent sweet cherries, some toasted malt, and light wild character - the cherries shine bright. Flavour is loaded with tart cherries, some earthy and toasted malt, and hint of wildness. Very unusual concoction, but it works very well. Very good.

Dark brown with a touch of red. The aroma shows a nice cherry character - very much like a gluhkriek type, with a sweetish but pleasant cocoa. Dark cherry on the palate, some tartness. The body’s a bit thin. The chocolatey porter notes are subdued, so that the overall impression is more like a chocolatey kriek. Not a porter, but impressive.
