Normally this would be a winner, but I had just shared an excellent Emersons Bird Dog IPA (rating 4.1) and this was distinctly inferior from the first whiff to the aftertaste. Nothing bad about it, just a relative comparison. Even my novice companion commented Marc280 (52) - - FEB 11, 2016
Hop bomb! Massive hop hit when you get your near the glass. Deep amber/copper colour. Pine and citrus taste with a full body. Taste doesn’t quite work for me. Mishmash of flavours and too bitterness is overpowering. Carbonation seems spot on for the style. In my opinion good but not great. nezzapunk (28) - - NOV 13, 2015

330ml bottle. Meaty nose and dark colour, good carbonation, big beery full palate with lots of roasted malty flavours, hoppy and resinous towards the finish . Good solid IPA with quite a lot of punch . k0mpsa (3019) - Tuusula, FINLAND - MAR 6, 2015
Tap at pomeroys, christchurch nz. Clear amber color, white head. Super hoppy and fruity aroma. Nice crispy taste, lot of hops and fruits. Some malty sweetness. ShaneJ (898) - AUSTRALIA - MAR 2, 2015
Bottle from Beer Cartel (June 2014). Dark amber/copper, 2cm off-white head, big, brash hop forward ale, pine, peach, grapefruit/citrus, mild sweet caramel, medium body, thick texture, dry, resinous bitter finish. Quite good.

Tried off the tap at the Fine Wine Delivery Co. Enjoyable if you like big American hops, personally not to my style. Capa (3330) - Kitsap, Washington, USA - JAN 16, 2015
Has a bright hop flavor over a bit of muted caramel. Bitter finish with some harsh citrus hop notes. . Very good. Davros (3231) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - OCT 7, 2014
Pours dark amber, almost copper with a large white head.
Nose shows pine, apple, peach and orange blossom along with some sweet malt.
Aggressive flavours, lots of grapefruit, not much else in terms of hops. Big hop bitterness though. Some malt but nowhere near enough to fight the bitterness. mkel07 (6195) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - AUG 8, 2014
Bottle from Scratch Bar 080814. Sweet malty red coppery looking beer. Hops combine well with the maltiness of the beer to give it some flavour. ALLOVATE (3048) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - JUL 12, 2014
At just on cool and into a tulip glass. It looks good. Impressive, dense foam atop a mildly hazed, burnished copper body. Well conditioned with excellent head retention and residual lace. Resinous, whole hop nose reminiscent of a pineforest in Spring. Sappy, herbaceous and piney with floral and citrus notes abound. Creamy to oily and soft on the palate. Full bodied with plenty of length. All hops initially; piney and resinous like the nose with a raspy, herbal and floral bitterness. Rose petals and pot pourri dominate the palate with a heavy camphorous note in the swallow. Esters are in high form and alcohol is well masked by the big body and aggressive hops. Biscuity, toffee brittle malts add a chewy nuttiness to it, balancing it out well. Grapefruit plays a huge part too, especially late into drinking. This is quite a mouthful of good ale. Balanced to a ’T’ and offering a complexity to it to set it apart from other APA’s. Another great beer from this brewer. (33cL, BB 14/10/14, The Liquor Shed, Jandakot)
