Hazy amber beer. Little white head. Light palate, a little crisp and a little dry. A trace of toffee malt on the nose. Soft toffee malt, a trace of pear and aniseed. Creamy dry malt. Nicely joined up, a deft little beer from Pitfield.
Bottle at ChrisO "I’m Trying to see the Stool" pre GBBF2010 tasting. Amber, haze, lsting beige head. Some kinda spice on aroma. Decent. Odd, but ok. Ethereal (2421) - Los Angeles, California, USA - AUG 16, 2010
Bottle at ChrisO’s "Raise the Roof" tasting, 31st July 2010. Light brown with a bit of head. Strange spicy nose that I just can’t place, along with some heady paint notes. I didn’t like it and it was a let down after the Pure Gold. fonefan (49586) - VestJylland, DENMARK - AUG 12, 2010

Bottle. Reddish brown with a big, tan head. Good chocolate aroma, hints of roast. Chocolate flavours, rather sweet, a bit milky. Enjoyable and easy-going. A bit on the sweet side. screwball (1099) - Motala, SWEDEN - JAN 15, 2006
Brown hazy body with a gray off-white head. The aroma is spicy and vinous. Rather strange. The flavor is malty and hearthy, nutty. Bitter finish. Tanx Tjalve! leaparsons (10613) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - DEC 3, 2005
Bottle. Dark brown with a cream foam. Aromas are rich and fruity, malty with berries and a mellow floral character. Also has chocolate and spices. Flavours are soft malts with lots of chocolate and berries. Spices towards the finish with decent bitterness and a nice level of warming alcohol. A good malty beer. fiulijn (20806) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 1, 2005
Cloudy dark amber color. Soma malt aroma and caramel. Malty, good structure, a lot of caramel, strong caramel finish, very bitter.
