Eructoblaster (4370) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 15, 2017
Bottle - 330ml. Dark brown body with a thick, lasting, beige foamy head. Robust, well balanced malty/hoppy aroma with barley sugar, nutty, and woody hints. Its rich malty/hoppy taste carries wild berries, figs, and oaky notes. Ends with a strong fruity/wppdy finish. Good stuff.

(Rating #7620)

Bottled. A black Beer with tan Head. The Atoms had notes of roasted malt and bread. The flavor is acidic with notes of roasted malt and bread, leading to a tart finish.

pours hazy medium dark brown, mahogany tint, with a tall beige head offering good retention and lacing. tart-ish burnt red fruits, dark kind of lean coffee malts, some sweetness - ferric molasses; lots of ashes, potent grass, spices. almost bright carbonation (!), light body - oily; semi-sweet ashy-mineral-very grassy finish. a poor berry-driven dunkler bock with strange/unwelcoming acidity. DP.

UPDATED: MAR 27, 2017 Pours a dark ruby color with a beige rim on top that leaves low lacing. Nose is of meat, red fruits and roasted malt. Signs of an infection? I don’t know but it sure looks like it! Taste is lightly acidic with some caramel and more red fruits and meat/blood. Certainly an experience! I’m no dunkler bock connoisseur but it seems like it might be a bit off, really. Body is medium, carbonation moderate. Light alcohol warming to the chest. A bit sticky on the lips. A bit problematic and not that enjoyable to me.

Bottle (330 ml) at home. Best before 01.05.2017. Dark brown with a medium persistent beige head leaving little lacing. Aroma is fruit forward (dark fruits but also berries) with caramel, roasted notes and mild earthiness. Taste is also quite fruity (berries forward) and flirting with tartness along with caramel, earthy notes and mild roastiness. Medium-light body. Moderate carbonation. Fruity and caramel finish. This isn’t on style - way too fruity - but still it’s quite enjoyable. I wouldn’t sit too long on these as the borderline tartness may be a sign of a starting infection but right now is enjoyable, not too heavy and rather flavorful.

Bottle courtesy of Iznogud, thanks! Dark hazy brown color, massive beige head that settles quickly. Aroma of chocolate and licorice. Taste is spiced and lightly medicinal coffee. High carbonation interferes with mouthfeel, harsh finish.

Kita (2243) - Koper, SLOVENIA - MAR 1, 2017
Bottle, 0.33l. Clear deep brown color with medium orange brown spawny head with sparkling columns. Aroma of caramel, mild roasted malt, milk chocolate and dark fruit. Taste starts with moderate sweet caramel and toffee, follows by sour ripe fruit, while finish is mild bitter. Medium body, creamy texture and average carbonation in palate. A bit too sour for the style...
