September 16, 2015 - at Southampton Arms - handpull cask. With lagerloather. Mucho confusion as to which beer this is - pump clip had the words "tidy" "bitter" "Sorachi" and "Bang" on it - so yeah, it goes here there’s only one hop-specific variation in the database and I see no need almost 2 years later to add a singleton Sorachi entry). Clear copper/amber with a smallish beige foamy drool of head. Definite sorachi tang to it, simple otherwise - taste also has that sharp tang, with added acidity - not much alcohol presence. Average everything, mild carbonation, quickish finish - most memorable part was that tang from the hop. fonefan (48737) - VestJylland, DENMARK - JAN 4, 2017

In excellent condition and at the top of the barrel. I ordered a pint. Lovely white lacing and copper/bronze appearance. Loads and loads of Sorachi Ace. Seriously well-hopped is this one!
I am not normally a fan of Sorachi Ace but maybe the hop has changed or my pallet was bored of many English bitters which I had during the day but this was a definite highlight. Superb oily notes and pine and pilth. Loads of juicy pineapple and tropical fruits and raw onions. I drunk mine and enjoyed it, this is my favourite example of Sorachi Ace being used so far. Still shocked by how much I enjoyed it as I don’t normally like Sorachi.

Cask. Rutland Arms, Sheffield. Hazy, dark gold. Blotchy, thick, lasting, bright white head. Earthy, and spicy, as you’d expect. Light citrus zest. Grainy, and a light yeastiness, too. Taste is punchy, spicy bitter. Moderate body. Palate cleansing hop bitterness. Finish is astringent bitter. Hoppy as you like. Very easy drinking. Stuu666 (13094) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAY 17, 2014

Cask at The Hanging Bat. Pours clear golden brown, thin white head. Aromas are biscuit and light floral hops. Good, standard bitter territory. McNeillR (2313) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - NOV 20, 2013
The smallest shade lighter in Rusty orange from the non-bang version, similar film and ringed white head. Coppery almost Tetley nose, light sweet and earthy berries. Silkier mouthfeel, creamy in the middle. Cereal sweetness and a decent few sprigs of bitterness perk things up along the way, before smoother finish that the original. Light but soft copper twang finish. Not sickeningly dull as the other. <P>Cask, Stockbridge Tap, Edinburgh,
