Served on-tap at Al’s of Hampden.
A - Pours ruby red with a small half finger tall white head, quickly dissipating down to a light film, leaving spotty streaks of lace down the sides of the glass.
S - Smells of tart raspberries, pale malt and mild sweetness. Raspberries are strong but not over the top.
T - Starts off with the strong raspberry tartness that never really fades away. Hints of fruity sweetness and bready pale malts round things out. Finish is sweet with a good bit of dryness, lingering long after the finish.
M - Light body with moderate carbonation. Sweet, tart feel from start to finish. The dryness is pretty strong, limiting how much I would want to drink of this one.
O - Light, flavorful beer that is pretty drinkable. Worth the try when you are looking for something a little lighter after having one of the stouts, or you could mix it in like it was intended.
