Pour is black with a tight tan head. Nose is faint, hints of smoke and dark malt with a touch of lemon and faint hint of farmhouse yeast. Taste is similar, very subtle. Some dark malt up front with a hint of caramel and toffee. Faint farmhouse note mid palate with a roasted malt coming in at the back. Finish is short, body is soft and carb is light. Growler courtesy of Terry, thank you sir! Pretty much black color, bright white head. Nice aroma of burnt toast, coffee, toffee, raisins. Taste has earthy dark fruit, light funk. One of the better dark saisons I’ve had. sonnycheeba (6342) - Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JUN 1, 2014

Growler from the brewery. Heavy on the red wine factor, dark fruit, a little chocolate. Slightly tart mouthfeel. Perfect bitter hop note on the finish. Excellent.

Growler from the brewery. Black with a thick rocky tan head. Aroma is red wine, saison yeast and strawberry jam. Taste follows suit but adds some roasted malt and a little more emphasis on the wine in the finish. Surprisingly rich palate with moderate carbonation. Very good.
