Bottle shared by jcartamdg. Cheers, Jason! Pours a clear yellow with a white head. Nose is white wine, some sweet malt, some funk, and some tartness. Flavor is similar with white wine, sweet malt, funk, and tart. Light in body and very nice overall. Macegan75 (859) - Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 19, 2015
Bottle at Damico’s.pours. Beautiful clear golden yellow with very little head. Nose is great with Pinot Grigio with lime, earth and wood. Finish is light acetic acid and a balanced end. Damico (3146) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 19, 2015
Pours very bright and clear yellow with no head and almost no carbonation. The aroma brings viney grapes and pear, light and sweet with barrel notes. The flavor brings tart green apple with a nice dry ending, tongue smacking and smooth with no bite. callmemickey (4561) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 19, 2015
Darker golden body, minimal head and lacing. White grape juice, perfume, and light oak. Medium to light bodied, gentle carbonation, lively tartness, slightly muddled finish.
popery (2231) - San Francisco, California, USA - MAY 27, 2015
The beer is a pale tan yellow. Small white head, fairly fizzy. The bubbles dissipate quickly. The aroma is a bit simple but nice enough. Some white grape flavor. A little bit of citrus peel edge to it. Very mild funk. A little bit of oak. Taste is moderately to medium sour. Very nice flavor. Wonderful blend of barrel and sour flavors. ineedbeer (2331) - Oakland, California, USA - MAY 24, 2015
Poured from a bottle courtesy of popery.
Aroma has a moderate white wine note with quite a bit of pinot grigio character. Medium acidity and light citrus. Hints of tropical and stone fruit. A bit of an odd meaty note with a light phenolic character. Faint oak notes.
Pours a pale, hazy, yellow straw with a small, thin white head that quickly disappears. No lacing and smallish legs.
Flavor has a moderate acidity with a bit of a wheat character. Moderately strong pinot grigio grape notes with some medium light grape skin tannins. Light oak. Flavor is lacking the odd note that the aroma had. The grape notes work well with the citrus and the acidity.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium low carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth.
Overall, a nice beer but the aroma does have an odd character to it. The grapes really come through and do work with the acidity, citrus and fruit esters. burg326 (5662) - Florida, USA - APR 16, 2015
Poured a cloudy yellow color with aromas of light funk, light wine and wet wood. Flavors match the aromas with some nice sourness. jcartamdg (3539) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 16, 2015
Pours a light hazy yellow with no head. Aroma of white wine, oak and funk. Taste is sour wheat, oak and white wine. Sour and dry white grapes. Wow this is great. hopscotch (11492) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - MAR 1, 2015
Bottle... This beer rocks!... Fluorescent yellow with no head - looks like lemon-lime Gatorade. The aroma offers lemons, key limes, assorted citrus peels and a gentle barnyard component. Full-bodied and milky with feather-soft carbonation. The flavor offers sour and citric notes of key lime and Meyer lemon. Lengthy, super-tart finish. Another world-class beer brewed by Pizza Boy and provided by ctipping!
