Draft at Al’s of Hampden. Pouts straw yellow and clear with a white head. Leaves some lacing in the glass. As the name indicates, it’s very grassy on the nose and tongue which is an odd blend, for me, with the barnyard element. Finish lingers a bit. Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a cloudy yellow color with a medium sized foamy white head. The aroma was chalk, bubblegum and mustiness. Bottle... Pours lightly hazed and mango-colored with no lasting head. The nose is fruity, funky and peppery - white, pink and green peppercorns - with lightly spicy, farmhouse yeast-driven phenols. Medium to full-bodied with tickling carbonation. The flavor is tart, tangy, fruity and mildly bready with a crisp finish. Aroma is lightly phenolic with some white pepper. Light white wine tannins and oak. Medium light tropical fruit notes. Lemon and lime.
Pours a cloudy, pale yellow with a small, thick white head with decent retention. Light lacing and small legs.
Flavor is lightly phenolic with some citrus notes. Light oak and wine tannins. Moderate bitterness. Light graininess.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth.
Overall, a pretty nice barrel aged saison with good oak notes. Good phenolic notes.

Pour is golden amber with a tight white head. Nose is lemon and candied sugar, light metallic notes, a bit sweet and not much farmhouse balance.
