Beerathon (1681) - Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 12, 2012
This taste like a "white" IPA, which is a wheat/ipa hybrid...just like this beer. Great hoppiness to this beer with the integrity of a wheat. Yum. PhillyCraft (7905) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 19, 2012
On tap, pours a glowing hazy golden color with medium white head, didnt last too long, awesome lacing patterns. Aromas of orange peel, citrus hops, earthy tones, grass, and floral wheat. Taste is nice bitter hops with earth, grass, lemons, light malts, and bread. Tons of hops going on in this wheat beer. Medium bodied. UPDATED: JUN 26, 2013 Terry Hawbaker’s first beer at Pizza Boy! Here we go...
Served on-tap at Al’s of Hampden into a nonic pint.
A - Pours hazy golden yellow with a small half finger tall white head leaving thin rings of lace down parts of the glass.
S - Smells of pungent grassy hops, dash of citric fruit and some bready wheat. A little too cold initially but it really came through as it warmed up.
T - Starts off with a nice grassy hop bite quickly giving way to hints of grainy wheat and some light fruitiness. Finish is a mix of chewy and bitter, not lingering on the palate for very long. My glass disappeared rather quickly...
M - Light body with moderate carbonation. The feel is balanced well between chewiness and hoppiness, making this one very easy to drink.
O - I rather enjoyed this one. It packs plenty of hoppy flavor into an easy drinking wheat beer. This is only the beginning, I can’t wait to see where Terry takes Pizza Boy in the future!
