Clear pale with alarming saison yeast aroma. Just a tad bitter from the start. Yes, you can tell this is 13% no doubt. Saison fer sure. You know it. Yes, alky is so prevalent. But in the end I’m thinking no way is this 13%, heheheheh.

On draft at Mindful. Poured cloudy burnt orange with scarce head/lace. Candi sugar, apple. Pretty well done. Minimally boozy.

FROTHINGSLOSH (8164) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 23, 2016
Sampled on draft at Tapped this beer poured a bright amber color with a medium sized foamy off-white head that left minimal lacing. The aroma was sweet apple juice and a bit of yeast. The flavor was bitter and somewhat tart with apple, yeast, a grainy presence and a tangy sugary note. Something off that I couldn’t quite figure out. Long finish. Full bodied. Disappointing.

Jow (4121) - Orlando, Florida, USA - DEC 20, 2016
Draft at Draught 55. Fine deep golden pour. Nose is yeast and honey. Tastes of Belgian yeast, honey, banana, light peppery tones, some rubbing alcohol. Ok body and finish.

trapped (3664) - New York, TURKEY - DEC 16, 2016
Draught @ Draught 55. Hazy bright orange with small foamy whitish head, faint malty aroma, high carbonation, citrusy medium bitter taste with Belgian yeast aroma, thin body, longish bitter finish. Quite nicely masked alcihol content, well done.

Nice cloudy honey color. Aroma had a good balance of yeast strain and sweet malts. Some fruits noted. Taste was light on the yeast, not too grainy, and the sweetness was well done. Mouth was a little sugary, but it’s a triple, so of course. Tap

Another excellent tripel on draft on my most recent visit to Union Jacks. I don’t think I have really ever tasted a speciality, apple-infused tripel before. But on this trip, I had the opportunity to try two. This one was very sweet with lots of apple in the nose and in the flavors. The aroma also featured some grapes, champagne and a little alcohol. The flavors followed suit, with plenty of apples, grapes and a hint of light, flowery hops.

Bottle. Pours orange with very little head. Nose is somewhat apple. Taste is somewhat wine-like as well. Nice Belgian flavor. Pretty good.

Draft at Eulogy. Cloudy light-amber pour with some slight off-white foam. Fruity brew. Apricots. Golden plums. Dates. Banana peel. Pineapple. Fresh dried fruit (if that makes sense). Semi-creamy mouthfeel. Just a touch sour. Pleasant.

Growler courtesy of Terry, thanks! Hazy golden yellow color, white edge head. Aroma of dusty and peppery summer fruit. Taste has sweet fruit, straw. very nice.
