Had this one on opening day of the new place. Very light aroma for the flavors in it. Hints of roasted peanuts, light pepper, citric hops and some mildly toasted grain. Taste is just like the nose, not as much pepper as I was expecting, this keg is pretty old now tho. Pretty thin feel from start to finish. Overall not one of their better offerings. dmac (6248) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - OCT 23, 2012
Draft on the way to Campground Brewdown. Poured a thinner density light orangey brown with a foamy super off white head. Aroma was odd, pepper skins and nutts dominate the aroma with a hint of milk. Fuller bodied with full foamy carbonation, pepper heat, alcohol heat that lingers on the back end. Flavor starts with notes of nutts and toast, followed by pepper, citrus rind, earth and a hint of chocolate. Interesting even with the not so good aroma. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - AUG 22, 2012
Draft. Clear dark amber body, medium beige head. Aroma is moderately sweet, bread/caramel, hot pepper, light grapefruit. Taste is moderately sweet, hot pepper, grapefruit, light caramel. Medium-full body, some resin, light stickiness. DiarmaidBHK (4891) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 12, 2012
Draft at Al’s of Hampden. Pours dark brown with a nice khaki head. Not much on the nose. There’s a slight nuttiness on the tongue to go along with the piney hops. There’s definite heat on the finish. Nice and peppery without overpowering the beer. Very nice!
