Draft at the source, from notes. Hazy golden amber color, small off white head. Nice aroma of bitter orange with farmhouse funk, interesting combo. Taste is orange liqueur with soft sourness and barnyard dustiness. Really tasty. tectactoe (3125) - Michigan, USA - OCT 2, 2013
UPDATED: JUL 18, 2014 Growler: The color of a penny in the center with sunburst orange near the edges; big-bubbled, soapy white head settles quickly to a thin film. Aroma is full of oranges and tangerines; sweet, juicy, and fruity with a light, more underlying tartness to them. Faint chalkiness in the tail end of the aroma as well, with even more astringent tartness. Taste is full of orange, very nice and tart... Not puckeringly sour, but still pleasingly tart. Tangerines, orange zest, grains. That hint of "chalk" shows up in the aftertaste, but it’s very small and buried by the heavy orange onslaught, so it’s not really hindering. This is like a more tart version of Orange Tang. Tasty and crushable. markwise (5450) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - AUG 7, 2013
Growler courtesy of jcartamdg. Cheers, Jason! Pours a hazy orange with a white head. Nose is orange, funk, earth, tangerine, sweet citrus, and malt. Flavor is similar with orange, tangerine, citrus, funk. Medium in body and lingering funk and citrus into the finish. Sperine (283) - North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 21, 2013
On tap at Al's of Hampden in Enola, PA. I was disappointed by the highly acclaimed and expensive Permasmile, but was actually very impressed with this sour. Very citrusy without the overwhelming aggressiveness of the other sour. Wish they allowed growlers of this. GT (10017) - San Diego, California, USA - MAY 18, 2013
Tap at pizza boy thanks to alex. Low to no carbonation on clear darker orange. No lace. Nose is Mild sweet red apple cider. Taste brings out more red apple cider. Palate seems thin with seltzer water after some hefty lactic sours so that is mostly my fault.

Growler: The aroma is loaded with oranges and also has a touch or lemon and orange peel. It pours a hazy dull orange with a small white head that quickly fades to a thin film. The flavor starts with a quick dose of sweet orange. The sweetness quickly turns to tart orange in the finish and mixes with some sour lemon. It’s light bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall, it’s super drinkable and very refreshing. jcartamdg (3535) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 11, 2013
Pours a golden orange with no head. Aroma of lacto, vinegar and citrus. Taste is sour, citrus with vinous qualities. Nice sour! DocLock (11048) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 22, 2013
Tasted from a growler. Poured clear copper with minimal off-white head. Nose is lactic acid, mandarin orange. Tastes very tart, like a mandarin orange lambic, with a lot of lactic acid, tart orange, hops, and a very tart and fruity finish. This one is a great sour ale. On tap at Pizza Boy. Ridiculously awesome. Nose and flavor profile are both orange heavy, but not over the top. Light sourness. Über drinkable. Growler didn’t fare as well, but on tap this was amazing. PhillyCraft (7939) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 16, 2012
Another great name from Terry/Pizza boy. Growler from Simon split with a bunch of people at the end of the world tasting. Hazy golden orange pour, with a tiny head and not much lacing. Notes were lots of sour nectarine/peach, orange, wet funk, sour dough, light malt. Medium carbonation and body, pretty tart in the mouth. I think this was more of a berliner then sour which was the same for Royal Tanninbomb. Might need to be changed? Nice.
