Sampled on draft at Hugo’s this beer poured a black color with a small beige head that left good lacing. The aroma was strong chocolate syrup, bread, coffee, vanilla, and malted milk. The flavor was strong brewed coffee, chocolate syrup, cream and malted milk. Very long finish of coffee and chocolate syrup. Full bodied, smooth and creamy. Alcohol very well controlled. Outstanding. matty (431) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 20, 2017
16 oz. can. Pours a deep black color with wisps of tan foam. Aroma is strong coffee. Full bodied, the taste goes along with the aroma - strong coffee. Acidic and bitter just like coffee. Finish is bitter. beastiefan2k (4007) - HdG (past: NYC, KS, Rain City), Maryland, USA - MAY 17, 2017
I honk this is where this goes. Isn’t called double coffee. Black, duh, dry coffee grounds aroma. Some bittersweet cocoa, light acidity, and cold coffee. But not sweet or bit. Similar in flavor with cold coffee but not big/sweet. More fumy coffee and a bit more rich chocolate. DiarmaidBHK (5078) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 30, 2017
Draft at Coopers seafood house. Pours black with a half inch of khaki foam. Doesn’t leave any lacing in the glass. Has a pretty big coffee influence on the nose with a hint of sweetness. It’s a bit more astringent on the tongue but the coffee doesn’t seem very big. Hides it’s booze well. Not bad. Nejhleader (1562) - Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 1, 2017
I think I had the old version before, bit this one is still good. Has a great coffee chocolate aroma. Taste is a good milky coffee with some chocolate, nice coffee aftertaste.

Draft at Milk and Hops-Chelsea.
Pours dark brown-black, no head or lace. Rich sweetened coffee aroma. Sweet flavor as well, coffee and vanilla. Very smooth, clean feel. ABV is very well hidden. trapped (3240) - New York, TURKEY - JAN 30, 2017
Draught @ Milk and Hops Chelsea. Opaque dark brown with very small frothy tan head, sharp coffee aroma, medium carbonation, lightly bitter mocha taste, thin body, long bitter coffee finish. Well balanced imperial stout. LinusStick (3473) - Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 27, 2016
A delicious coffee stout in tap at Bocktown. Aroma and taste were both big, bold and dominated by rich roasted coffee beans. Pour was a deep dark brown with a thin tan ring for a head. Very mild carbonation. Bittersweet coffee and dark chocolate finish. Expertly done. alexsdad06 (10476) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - OCT 30, 2016
16 oz can via trade shared with Tmoney99. Pours a dark cola brown color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have black coffee, roasted malt, dark and milk chocolate, the nose is solid and inviting, the coffee in the flavor is somewhat acidic, thinner, good but I wish the flavor backed up the nose. DandyWolfFloyd (1202) - Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 3, 2016
Aroma - very dark rich roast, high quality coffee, and some alcohol
Appearance - the body is black, the head is 2+" and tan in color. The head settles into a slice of foam.
Taste - has rich roasted strong coffee, chocolate malt - the taste is almost like chocolate covered espresso beans. Very tasty.
Palate - full body, thick and somewhat creamy texture, average carbonation, slight coffee-like astringency that has a long finish.
