Keg at Bainbridge Barrel House. Pours jet black with a thin off white head. Aroma is coffee, treacle, chocolate and molasses. Taste is a really smooth coffee and chocolate hit. A little coconut and vanilla on the end with coffee coming back through. Really good stuff.

Nearly black in color with a thin tan head that dissipated quickly. Brilliant coffee aroma. Smells great. Really well integrated roasted malt and coffee on the palate. Hides the 9.5% ABV well. Nicely done.

Growler. Deep, dark brown color that flirts with black in color. Dark khaki head sits on top. Aroma has blackberries, blueberries, chocolate, plenty of roast coffee, but there is some slight green pepper. Taste is roast coffee, chocolate, slightly smokey. Wow. Good shit. Pretty rich, hefty body. Glad to share this with some close friends.

32oz growler in a tulip. Pours black with a beige head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malts, dark chocolate, a little bit of dark fruits, and light dough. Flavor the same with a great blend and strong coffee. Smooth texture. A good beer.

Growler @ RBSG 2014 Grand Tasting. Black pour with a khaki head. Lots of chocolate and coffee on the nose. Some vanilla, burnt sugar, and a bit of caramel. Nice spiciness from the coffee. Flavor is pleasantly sweet without being cloying. Some mild bitterness of roasted malt and lots of coffee. A bit of vanilla. Some caramel and burnt sugar sweetness. Nice beer.

Pours dark black with a light creamy head. Smells heavily of coffee and chocolate and the taste does not disappoint. Tastes thick and rich with a smooth chocolatey finish. One of the best stouts I’ve had.
