Draught @ Milk and Hops Chelsea. Opaque dark brown with very small frothy tan head, sharp coffee aroma, medium carbonation, lightly bitter mocha taste, thin body, long bitter coffee finish. Well balanced imperial stout.

A delicious coffee stout in tap at Bocktown. Aroma and taste were both big, bold and dominated by rich roasted coffee beans. Pour was a deep dark brown with a thin tan ring for a head. Very mild carbonation. Bittersweet coffee and dark chocolate finish. Expertly done.

16 oz can via trade shared with Tmoney99. Pours a dark cola brown color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have black coffee, roasted malt, dark and milk chocolate, the nose is solid and inviting, the coffee in the flavor is somewhat acidic, thinner, good but I wish the flavor backed up the nose.

Aroma - very dark rich roast, high quality coffee, and some alcohol Appearance - the body is black, the head is 2+" and tan in color. The head settles into a slice of foam. Taste - has rich roasted strong coffee, chocolate malt - the taste is almost like chocolate covered espresso beans. Very tasty. Palate - full body, thick and somewhat creamy texture, average carbonation, slight coffee-like astringency that has a long finish.

Can. Poured clear brown color with an average fizzy tan head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Medium roasted coffee and malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium roasted coffee dark sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Good brew.

650 ml bottle. Black color with beige brown head. Roasted malty aroma, coffee, chocolate, cocoa, some vegetables - potato. Sweet and bitter taste like aroma but better. Medium to full oily body with soft carbonation.

Can courtesy of a kind soul at Beer Blogger’s Conference 2016. Pours a deep stout brown with an off-tan head. Nose is some roast, some burnt toast, some black coffee, and some chocolatey sweetness. Flavor is similar with roast, toast, coffee, and some sweetness. Medium in body and delightful overall.

On draft at Al’s. The pour is jet black. There is a thick cap of darker khaki head and no lace as it works down. The aroma is pretty good. It’s leaving a lot to be desired. It’s coffee, sure, but there is a sweetness to it that is definitely a little lactose based. Other than that there is a little roast, but it needs something else. The flavor is better. There is a brighter coffee. The roast is tones down a little bit and the lactose sweetness just about goes away. The light roast is key to helping the coffee pop. The mouth feel is thick and chewy with a soft carbonation and a lingeringly roasty, coffee dominated aftertaste. Really good stuff.

Sample at Pizza Boy with koleminer20. Aroma is coffee crazy, chocolate, roasted malt, bitter, delicious, holy hell. Appearance is black, light brown head, poured decently thick. Taste is coffee, roasted malt, dark chocolate, bready, decent. Mouthfeel is heavy body, light carbonation, coffee and some sweetness in the aftertaste. Overall, solid solid stuff.
