On tap sampler at Alís of Hampden during vacation from June 19, 2012. I couldnít find Pizza Boy on the site at the time, so thanks to jsmerig to start the beer ratings. Bright yellow color with no head by the time the beer arrived. Light aroma of wheat and lemon(?). Tangy, watery wheat taste. Watery finish.
Pour is a lightly hazed pale straw yellow with tight bubbly white head. Nose is huge, tons of mineral aromas, lightly salty, strong lemon backbone. Taste is lightly tart, carbonation is a hint low on a creamy body. Taste is more lemon and candied sugar forward. Light mineral with a bit of cellar funk brett. Really nice balance, refreshing yet has some depth. A touch sweet and body is a bit big for a berlinerweis. tectactoe (3125) - Michigan, USA - OCT 2, 2013
UPDATED: NOV 9, 2014 Growler: Translucent yellow with some darker, sunburst orange colors crowding the edges; the foamy white head builds up to a half-inch but vanishes within seconds. Aroma is very heavily grainy with a light tartness and some mild apple skins with lemon zest. Very subdued and quiet aroma, even for a Berliner. Not bad, just quiet. Solid tartness with each sip; green apple, grape skins, some lemon, however the lovely tartness is quickly overtaken by a heavy, weird grainy flavor... hard to pinpoint, kind of stale, musty, almost cooked vegetables and dirty graininess. This one started off with promise, but some weird off-flavors really turned it into just an okay Berliner. Beerman6686 (6607) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 16, 2013
This poured a cloudy yellow with a white head. Aroma was funky barnyard smells and lemons
Flavor is mild tart, cheese, lemons and some bread. Good stuff. Damico (3147) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 5, 2013
Pours clear lemon yellow with almost no head. Aroma is light funk from the yeast and some sweet lemony notes. Flavor is delicious sweet funk as well, with a balance of those flavors that delicately tempt the tongue and make you yearn for more. jkwood04 (5448) - Connecticut, USA - SEP 4, 2013
2L growler poured into a big tulip. Pours hazy golden with a small head. Aroma of light tartness/funk, a little wheat and pale malts, and a little dough. Flavor the same with a nice balance wheat and tartness. Average texture. A good Berliner weisse.

On tap at the new Alís of Hampden/Pizza Boy Brewing. Hazy pale yellow pour. Nice lemony aroma, light funk, wheaty, pretty typical, maybe a bit too lemony and not lactic enough for a BW, but pretty tasty nonetheless. Lightly sour, tart and easy-drinking. blipp (9171) - La Mesa, California, USA - JUN 22, 2013
Draft. Pours clear gold with almost no head. Light dirty funky notes, some hints of lemony tartness, and light apple skin-ish notes. The malt profile is sweeter and less wheaty than Iíve come to expect from other Berliners. Good, not great. Pailhead (6539) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - MAY 18, 2013
Growler: The aroma consists of light-moderate apple, light lemon, and grass. It pours a slightly hazy golden-orange with a small white head that quickly fades to nothing. The flavor starts a quick dose of sweet apple. The finish has light lemon, a touch of grain, and another strange flavor that I can?t pinpoint. It?s light bodied with light carbonation. Overall, it?s okay, but the grain and flavor I can?t pinpoint in the finish is a little strange. PhillyCraft (7110) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 29, 2013
Tap at the new location, pours murky straw gold with no head or lacing at all. Notes of peanut butter swirl, german malt, weird grains, no tartness, more sweet, this thing was brutal. Not enough carbonation, and rough flavor/nose.
