On tap at Pizza Port (Ocean Beach) with Andy, James and Dallas for Dallas’ bachelor weekend. Pour is black and syrupy (maybe I’m swayed by the name of the beer) with a caramel head. Smells of farmhouse freshness. Again with the breakfast words. Silky, smooth mouthfeel for a thick beer. Good. Pwn3d (1962) - Manhattan, New York, USA - SEP 10, 2011
On tap at the brewery with the bros for dallas’ bachelor party. Nose is string.. Espresso nose. Taste is more espresso, tabacco, and some sweet maple. hapjydeuce (1002) - Carlsbad, California, USA - AUG 25, 2011
On tap at Pizza Port OB. Dark brown color, with a light white ring of head. Awesome coffee aroma, with roasted beans and malt. Coffee and chocolate flavors dominate throughout the flavor. The coffee is very well balanced throughout the beer, and the acidity is not overpowering as in other coffee stouts. Tasty chocolate base complements the coffee well. brokensail (16631) - Dublin, California, USA - AUG 1, 2011
A: The pour on this one is almost black with a creamy off-white head.
S: The nose offers up huge coffee and roasted malt aromas with a nice dark chocolate note in there as well. A very mild licorice scent and a decent amount of molasses. Maybe a hint of smoke and brown sugar.
T: As expecting, nice coffee flavor that lasts almost all the way through. There is a mild caramel sweetness to go with the molasses and dark brown sugar notes. Heavy on the roasted malts and dark chocolate.
M: The body is edium to full with a medium carbonation.
O: This was a really good beer. Bold coffee and roast flavors, but not overwhelming. beersearcher (2382) - Glendale, California, USA - JUL 30, 2011
Not a bad coffee porter. The aroma is there and it is smooth and silky but could use a little less alcohol and more maltiness to really balance things out.

Sample on tap at OB. Black with tan head. Sweet and roasted malts, toffee, mild coffee. Bittersweet, medium bodied (thick for a porter), smooth with a very sweet finish that is dry. Combination of sweet and dry on the finish was off but liked the consistency. dcschiller (2208) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - JUL 12, 2011
(On draught at Beachwood BBQ). Pours near black with a red hue (or maybe that is the lighting here). Tan head. Aroma has big coffee notes, dark bitter chocolate. Taste is sweet with some bitterness. Full bodied with sticky texture. Bitter, roasty finish. This is a nicely balanced beer-good mix of roast and sweetness. Really nice beer. cbkschubert (2901) - BFE, Arizona, USA - JUL 1, 2011

Big coffee aroma. Dark coloured smooth and rich on the palate. Strong in alcohol with a hint of dryness in a bitter full coffee roast finish.
