Rich, boastful, bruised with earthy complexity. A velvety coffee feel that envelopes your senses. With a big 9.5%, there’s some kickback to this porter. One of Pizza Port’s better brews. Mortlach (2347) - Rome, ITALY - JAN 7, 2014
06/01/2014 Brasserie 4:20 (tap). Draft at Pizza Port Ocean Beach. Pours black with an extremely thin khaki head. Big roasty bacon on the nose. The tongue has more roasted coffee qualities but has some of that salty sweetness that suggests bacon as well. Hides the alcohol pretty well. Tasty! mcberko (17815) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 11, 2013
On tap at Pizza Port Ocean Beach, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. Flavour brings out quite a bit of coffee, followed by subtle cocoa and roast. But this is basically a coffee bomb. Medium body, characterized by the coffee. Solid stuff. BeerHawk (1810) - Huntsville, Alabama, USA - NOV 1, 2013
Draft. Poured black with a creamy tan head that had some lasting and left light lace. Nice aroma and flavor of coffee and roast. Medium body and a coffee aftertaste.
