Copenhagen Beer Celebration. From a Growler. Thanks man!
Light haze on this dark brown beer. Smooth semi dry palate. Very smooth rich coffee. Rich but not quite espresso. Semi dry finish. Hides the abv well.
On tap. Pours black with a vague orange hue and a beige head. The nose has hard roasted malt, licorice and sweet coffee. Quite full-bodied, flavours very much the same as in the nose: sweet coffee, licorice and perhaps some dried fruit. A little sticky perhaps while the finish is only subdued in its bitterness. 091110 Leighton (22301) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 24, 2012
From a growler at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2012, thanks to Paul who got it from other guy. Pours clear, red-brown with a fine, foamy beige head. Has a huge filter coffee nose that reminds me intensely of Dunkin Donuts coffee. Medium to big sweet flavor with ultra rich coffee, some chocolate syrup. Oh so, so smooth. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Great finish, medium sweet, moderate roast, cocoa, robust coffee with a mild bitter edge. One of the truest coffee beers I have ever had. Completely drinkable. Wow. Rasmus40 (21977) - Beder, Aarhus, DENMARK - JUN 1, 2012
