At Avery Strong Ale Fest 2013--black pour with a thin khaki head. Stupid wonderful aroma of fresh brewed black leathery coffee with a gentle dark cocoa undertone. Flavor is heavily leaning on that coffee note, with a strong coffee roastiness, a bit of fresh leather, dark semi sweet chocolate, and more coffee. I could have personally used more chocolate, but this is THE coffee beer for coffee heads. spdyfire83 (35) - 5280, Colorado, USA - JUL 2, 2012
Growler to CBC taster. Enjoyed on 11 May 2012. Thanks for this treat Nolan! Deep mocha brown. 1.5 (medium tan) fingernail head on gentle pour. Loads of dark roasted coffee beans up front followed by chocolate. No much else, but that’s okay because this beer tastes really good. Taste is very roasty and robust. Follows smell, but the complexity and depth of this beer are thoroughly enjoyable. Loads of chocolate and coffee. Bitterness is rounded out by a touch of vanilla and soft smokiness. Wicked smooth and very tasty. A fun beer to try and I’d love to enjoy this with some proper bacon and eggs brekkie some time. I’m not sure how a breakfast beer could get much better. Well done! markwise (5441) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - NOV 10, 2012
On draft for GABF 2012. Pours a deep roasted coffee color with an off-white head. Nose is coffee as hell; roasted coffee, cafe con leche, vanilla, some supporting chocolate, and roasted malts blending in perfectly. Flavor is similar- huge coffee presence, cafe con leche, vanilla, chocolate, roast, and all things good. Light to medium in body and lingering coffee into the finish. How this didn’t rank a 5 on the daknole scale, I will never know!! Broncowaldon (129) - Oceanside, California, USA - MAR 10, 2015
Killer stout on tap. So good coffe and French roast. Excellent complexity on all the roast insets and coffe notes. Yes for breakfast as Bagby has mentioned in past. Just gotta go try it. faroeviking (11091) - Chupando chellas es como ellas, FAROE ISLANDS - NOV 10, 2010
Barril en el Ørsted bar. Black colour with a nice light brown head, good lacing. Lovely aroma of roasted malt and good fresh coffee with chocolate. Great mouthfeel. Flavour is just so great: lots of well roasted malt, lots of coffeee with chocolate, dark fruit and a pleasant bitterness. Well lasting roasted maltiness with coffee and chocolate in the finish. Just such a lovely impy indeed!

From a growler at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2012, thanks to Paul who got it from other guy. Pours clear, red-brown with a fine, foamy beige head. Has a huge filter coffee nose that reminds me intensely of Dunkin Donuts coffee. Medium to big sweet flavor with ultra rich coffee, some chocolate syrup. Oh so, so smooth. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Great finish, medium sweet, moderate roast, cocoa, robust coffee with a mild bitter edge. One of the truest coffee beers I have ever had. Completely drinkable. Wow. danielecamo (839) - ITALY - OCT 2, 2013
Grado alcoolico ben nascosto e bunoa bevibilità Ottima birra AcctError65545 (1547) - Mesa, Arizona, USA - JUL 3, 2010
Tasted at pizza port ocean beach on the 3rd of july 2010 in honor of out independence on the following day and our freedom to have coffee and breakdast. Pours is a dirty hazy muddy unfiltered brown with a tan head consisting of tiny co2 bubbles. Aroma is french press coffee beans espresso roasted beans and vanilla. Flavor is vanilla dank bitter coffee beans fresh espresso coffee coffee coffee hyper caffienated starbucks and a touch of raw sugar. Fantastic fresh super coffee beer. F*ck the weasel and the sh*t pizza port represent. No growlers. ;( JoeMcPhee (9516) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 3, 2010
Deep dark brown pour with a tight tan head. The little bit hazy (separate from the darkness). The nose is awesome. Rich and chewy with a lot of roasted malt and very intense coffee character. A touch of light citrus and some heavy toasted/roasted character. Amazingly the citrus comes across more like that in African-grown coffee rather than the typical hop contribution. A touch of earthiness with a very aromatic contribution in terms of the coffee. No grassiness or vegetal character at all. A touch of soft chocolate milk character on the back of the palate. Damn good stuff. harrisoni (19165) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - APR 20, 2013
