3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft at Blind Lady Ale House in San Diego, CA. March, 2013.
Pours a slightly hazy, bright golden yellow color with a 1.5 finger frothy white head that quickly settles into a thick, lasting ring. Spotty lace left behind.
Sweet, slightly funky aroma with what smells like honey and light fruit along with farmhouse yeast, floral hops and peppery spice. Funk, straw and grass along with apple, pear, coriander, flower petal and honey.
Medium bodied with a crisp hop and peppery spice presence that lingers over the bready yeast, subtle farmhouse funk, light fruit and honey sweetness into a slightly dry finish. Peppery spice with ginger and coriander followed by floral hops, bread, apple, pear and honeycomb. Light and refreshing but nothing too out of the ordinary.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear golden pour with a big white head. Mild spice aroma of clove up front, perhaps a touch of pepper. Sweet sugar and biscuit malt, notes of banana, yeast, and citrus. The flavor is nicely "Belgian" on the front end with banana, clove, and yeast. The finish is almost reminiscent of a pilsener with clean biscuit and bread malt flavors and a nice soft sweetness.
