GABF 2009. Very interesting name here, and a great beer. Clear golden color with a lasting white head. Aroma is rough citrusy hops and sweet malt. Nice west coast hop blast. Flavor is sweet malt, but mostly hop-forward, with lots of rough citrus as well as some tropical fruit/pineapple. Palate is nice and not too syrupy for the ABV and style, but with some lasting hop oils. Very solid.

HonkeyBra (4044) - Lemont, Illinois, USA - OCT 11, 2009
Sampled at GABF. Golden color with an eggshell head. Sweet aroma with lots of sweet malt, citrus. Flavor is pretty hoppy, but maybe a bit too sweet. Not too thick on the palate and the high level of alcohol was note apparent. On par with the other DIPAs I’ve had from Pizza Port. Cool name, though.

elihapa (1554) - Honolulu, Hawaii, USA - OCT 4, 2009
GABF Saturday. Pours dark gold and clear, very nice. Aroma is huge bouquet of flowers, matched with crisp lemon and grapefruit. Flavor manages to stand up nicely to the aroma, just a delicious hop-centric drink, West Coast style. Palate remains light, seemingly staying out of the way of the bold flavors. Second best IPA I’ve tried from the Pizza Port conglomerate.

On tap at PP solana. Wonderful fruity hoppy aroma. Yellow color. Great hop bitterness. Not medicina. Nice lacing. White foamy head. Leans dry. Easy to drink.

Draft @ Solano Beach: Delicious DIPA, without being too aggressive, be careful the 9.5% ABV is not where to be tasted; can drink a pitcher of this stuff easily with one of there great pizzas.. Drank on a visit to the Pizza Port in Solano Bach, must for Pizza and Beer.

booya! Gold pour with a thin white head. Aroma had fruity hops and no hint of a malt backbone. Flavor followed through, bitter with notes of grapefruit, orange, pineapple. Medium carbonation, long bitter finish.
