on tap in Solana beach. Im a bit sad i wasted my money on thsi one. There is nothing creamy about this beer. Its a slightly sweet, pale lager. Granted its better than most mainstream lagers, but not what I expect from the port. Avoid this one, unless you are comming from a long bikje ride or day at the beach. patrick767 (4095) - fort wayne, Indiana, USA - SEP 17, 2006
tap at Solana Beach - Pours clear yellow with a very light malt aroma. The flavor is also very light. I can hardly detect any hops and the malts are mild. It’s smooth and refreshing with a mild hops finish, but far too bland overall. awaisanen (1304) - Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 7, 2006
On tap at Solana Beach. Pours a transparent color of golden corn with a tiny wisp of white, uneven head. Light, pleasantly sweet aromas of vanilla and gentle caramel, accompanied by a light rye bread hoppy undertone. Light bodied, crisply carbonated mouthfeel with dominating flavors of corn. Corn, corn, and some sweet corn with a splash of pale lager. No. Why did I have to try this style? I succumbed to my desire to rate a cream ale from one of my favorite breweries, hoping I’d have a chance at being pleasantly surprised. The news resounds through my head loud and clear - this style is doomed. Now I’m just sad I didn’t order my "go-to" Lou P Lin instead. Final smack of fruit loops without the sugar. Draft at Pizza Port Solana Beach: clear yellow, nose is husky and lotiony, a bit light and musky in the flavor, not much to it. omhper (25541) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - FEB 12, 2006
Draught at the brewpub. Clear pale yellow, creamy head. Fruity raspberry aroma. Sweet with clean mouthfeel and fairly light body. Notes of vegetables, light body. Would pass unooticed at most brewpubs.

On tap @ Solana Beach location. Nothing much to talk about here. Too bland for my taste. FoolishMortal (990) - San Diego, California, USA - NOV 13, 2005
Draft. Pale straw color with a small creamy white head. Light malty aroma with hints of citrus. Some grainy flavors, hints of grassy and citron hop character. Some residual sweetness in the finish with a crisp bitterness. Mouthfeel is light medium and somewhat dry. steview (1037) - Petaluma, California, USA - AUG 22, 2005

UPDATED: MAR 4, 2006 On tap in Solana beach: Pale yellow color with a thin white head. Flavor is lightly sweet with a hint of fruit and a very light bite at the finish. Smooth, creamy, but thin palate. Lawn mower beer. billk (353) - Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, USA - APR 3, 2005
Tap @ Solana. Extremely pale yellow w very thin white head that dissapated quickly. This beer had a nice malty aroma but barely noticable. Nice creamy malt flavor but too weak/thin for me.
